Agreed. But Floyd afterwards said on video that he would advise Curmel to work on defense and keep it tight. In his last fight he was obviously more careful and defensively responsible in his 2nd round knock out win over Nikolai Buzolin. Some fans think it's no big problem to have big lapses in defense, but all it takes is one big punch to KO a fighter and change the trajectory of his career.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but this is just who Ryan seems to be. Ryan has always revelled in being a social media star, always had this grandiose ego, always behaved in a very 🤡ish ways. Oh, and all that stuff he said is nothing new for him. Ryan and his dad have consistently made these slick and questionable comments that everyone seems to ignore for the most part. Then he shouts out God and everyone seems to ignore all the rest. Is he talented? Of course. But as far as I can see, he's just being who he always was.
I'm so excited for his future in boxing. Hope he stays humble, healthy and without a grandiose ego.

I was surprised by how many clean shots he takes in his fights. He DEFINITELY needs to correct his bad defensive habits. With better defense, I see him as a Shane Mosely type…potential champion (one day), but not dominating the division or being in the pound for pound conversation. But hey, he's VERY young, I hope he listens to Money May and has a great career.

Kid is learning. Mistakes will happen. Now, the kid biggest obstacle is nature. He is 5'2" IF he is lucky he might get to 5'4" before he stops growing. He needs to stay light doesn't have the body to go much higher. that height is for 122lbs-135lbs. A great fighter may be 140lbs. after that, the disadvantage will be too much.
