  1. The one drop rule is not that popular outside USA. And in the USA Census it is changing, it has introduced a new category called mixed race, and you can choose 2 races. I think black mixed people would choose what they most identify with. Compared to Brasil there are not that many mixed black in the USA , because the USA was segregated.

  2. 1) The most recent census found that Pardo or brown meaning mixed race are the largest population group in Brazil with over 45% of the population . Black population is 10%.
    2) There was no deletion of black population in Brazil . There has always been a mixed race or Brown category on Brazil census and They have alwAys been a different group from blacks, whites and indigenous people .
    3) The one drop rule exists only in the US. It is not of European origin or African origin . In fact, biracial s are not seen as any ethnic group in African countries but are often called misugnu or oboni. In South Africa alone you have seperate mixed race group as Colored . No one socially regards or sees colored as Black in South Africa. In fact , countries with a significant mixed race population do not characterize mixed race people as monoracial except Americans which is tragic but rea!ity

  3. No offense, but your video is inaccurate, because in Brazil, not all light skinned Black people identify as Mixed (Pardo). Some identify as Black (Preto)

Not to mention, there are countries in Africa where Mixed race people don't even identify as Black, like the Coloured in South Africa, or the Goffals in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Even in some West African countries, Mixed race people sometimes get referred to as White man or White woman.

  4. it's our culture. we are not confused or wrong, it's just how we see things. and it's ok.
pardos are racially ambiguous people who don't look black or white.
obama, lewis hamilton, beyonce, etc, all look black to brazilians. but people like mariah carey, for example, looks parda. also, lula was the first president to think about black people's education, helping them to go to college, etc. that's why a lot people voted for him.

  5. And who cares? the majority of full black countries are desesperately poor, violent, and horrible. See Jamaica, Nigeria and Haiti for example. Don't exist any sucesfull full black country. The racial whitening was a deliverance for Brazil!

  6. Bolsonaro's wife is a parda, you are obviously uneducated. Most coutnries recognize mixed-race people as their own thing. Crazy how you support the one deop, did you know that most white South Africans have African admixture?

  7. I think it is amazing that these people embrace all parts of their ethnicity and do not have to box themselves. All of the people you have shown seem to want to conform to a stereotype or maybe to feel part of a community these people know they have a community and they don't need to change their identity for that.

  8. Many FBA have distancing ourselves from the deapera because of the confusion of most south American people who look black and hate black skin and Africans Nigerians mostly that are blatantly anti FBA

  9. Yes in Brazil siblings can black white or mix legally by the government but they're shocked when they leave their country and find out their black 😊 and some are very anti black I think they had laws against Africans moving there

  11. You Americans still hang onto your racist, eurocentric definitions of race. Youre mixed race, stop denying your FULL HERITAGE, slavery is over.

One drop rule means black genes are stain on ones blood, hence one drop corrupts other bloodlines and the child assumes the inferio%r parents racial stock. This is what you and other mixed race and mono racial belive.

Be proud of your white and black ancestry. If not, you're a looser.
