Thank you ladies! I quit today. It was a long time coming!
We should all be living the Power 9 lifestyle habits of the Blue Zones. . .
I never GO to sleep; I just FALL asleep while I'm working on something. I wake up still on the couch with the laptop still open too many mornings. Too much work, but I'm executing my exit plan right now, so no (more) worries. . .
There are too many black Africans Globally looking to be employed. More of us need to own family establishments to own our time, our most valuable resource.
I just fell upon this at the right time. I’m ready to leave. I said July 31.
I gave myself until July 31st and I’m leaving. I just have to plan properly!
I love what you all are doing!
Definitely healthcare in the United States is a joke. Went to dentist, doctor, and eye doctors in Colombia for under $500.
Enjoyed this!🎉 Please can you share the link to the medical aid for expats. Thanks.
Mohawe sunshine I need those products your skin is absolutely beautiful ❤️
Wish I could apply for FMLA. I work for a company with less than 50 employees.
Undoubtedly, Black women do shoulder an overwhelming burden in their quest for generational wealth, a duty that should be handled by the men within the community as well. Instead, many Black women find themselves tirelessly striving to establish financial stability for themselves and their families on their own.
Although the notion of taking a break and relying on a partner's income sounds enticing, it often remains unattainable for Black women. Unlike women from other racial backgrounds who benefit from support systems provided by their male counterparts, Black women frequently assume the role of primary breadwinners, navigating financial responsibilities alone. Unfortunately, instead of receiving support from their partners, many Black women often end up financially supporting their male counterparts instead.
Additionally, the absence of financial assistance from absentee fathers further complicates matters, making it challenging for black women to even contemplate taking a break from their careers.
Despite the allure of taking a work hiatus, the lack of support from the broader Black community often leaves Black women feeling isolated and unable to pursue this option.
Consequently, it is essential for Black women to actively challenge and resist the burdens imposed by their communities. The expectation for Black women to single-handedly uplift and support their entire race perpetuates a cycle that ensnares them in a relentless pursuit for survival.
Addressing this is paramount for Black women to break free from the rat race and achieve genuine well-being.
Great discussion ladies, I know I’m only 46min in, but what about 401k?
as a female of brown skin, I have worked all my life for them folks, and working for someone can be very stressful, when thinking about getting to work on time, messing up on the job, even if you're sick and miss a day or two without a dr note you can also cause stress. I used to worry about losing my job all the time
so, as an older woman I have decided to wake up, I have worked for the MBTA after working my entire life and I have found out how they worked me to the bones, and didn't care about my health
so, in 2024, I quit my job, and realized that quitting my job has brought me less stress, and less health problems.
so, I am at a point now where I already knew that I wanted to own my business, now things are great, and that I'm about open my second business, so if I do Croke at lease I am able to leave valuable things to my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
"Find a rich sucker"
"Marry a rich sucker"
"Divorce a rich sucker"
Resonates with me 🤗
OVERWORKED, MISTREATED, AND UNDERPAID … EXACTLY! I saw this in another comment, and I was like, wow, do we work at the same place? SMH. This is sad and true. They'll replace you like quick, fast and hurry.
Yes, work smarter and not harder.
While I'm break I'm going to get into tech so I can work from home
I retired in 2013 and stayed at home with my grandkids and got into real estate and taxes and it was the best decision for my financial future and I was also widowed for many years, I am living my best life and traveling to Africa
Roshida, your comment about working for people who told you that you didn't know anything, resonated with me. Thank you for the confirmation.
I know the phones are tapped – I literally just said to my husband 5 min before seeing this pop up on my YouTube feed that I want to retire and do my own thing@ 55. TY ❤
They say when people show who they are Believe them.
I need to buy two more properties before I exit Corporate Amerikkka! I AM working on a Multi unit property with 4 units and a Triplex. I need 15K per month minimum to be able to exit. I am exhausted. Life is hard enough as it is…

I don’t want to take a break. I want to be done period. What’s Maui sunrise?
I used to live in Asia, and my life was much more relaxed. Yes, we worked but we also had long breaks. And I was teaching, so had plenty of breaks to travel. I am back in the US, and although I am underpaid at my current position, I have just switched to this new role and it is MUCH slower paced than my previous position. It is like night and day. I finally have time to meal prep, spend some time doing other things besides working, like studying, and just plan my life out. This culture of work work work in the US needs to stop. We need longer breaks, more time to spend with family, and more time to just be away from work for our mental health.
I want to quit and travel 😂but how 😮
All I am hearing is save yourself by any means necessary!!! Love this….this is so validating 🙂
I FOUND MY TRIBE!!!! I was doing all of this without knowing this community exist…..WOW!! God is good and is CLEARLY up to something…..
Our birth certificates have cash value-even if you were born outside America!
Loved this podcast! Whew! I quit my job two years ago, and things have been a bit wonky lately. But this is giving me some energy to reevaluate and develop a new plan.
Life is stressful in itself. As a whole we don’t take care ourselves. There’s a standard to maintain as human. Even once one leave a job, one must do what’s necessary to take care of oneself which includes challenging yourself with the hard things too. It’s not easy being human.

Reconsider Everything 😮
2023: I quit my job, sold my house, moved back to my home state, and I’m currently living with my mom. Working since I was 16 years old, I’ve had a long much needed mental and physical break. I’ve also had great quality time with my family.
2024: I’ve just accepted a new position and feel that I’m rejuvenated. I’m ready to start the next chapter of my life. From this day forward, I plan to take as many international vacations as I possibly can!
Beginning a “strong black woman” is overrated!
I am 45 and quit my job of 18 years. Before I quit, I spent 2.5 years learning to trade options. That was my out. Now I can trade anywhere around the world and never plan on working for anyone other than myself ever again. Best decision of my life!
Thank you both so much for this beautiful message.❤❤❤
Pls kindly plan wisely and have a plan B before quitting your job.
I have tried to download load it but it’s not working. I will keep trying..
Sorry I know this was a serious convo but I bust out laughing when u said “crying in meetings”. 😂. If u don’t laugh you’ll cry!
We really need to do a virtual group/book club/chat. We need support emotionally more than anything. Healthy, reciprocal inspiring relationships are invaluable for bw. We r all experiencing the same thing but soooo isolated.
