I enjoy watching people respect what they do so much they immerse themselves in not just what it is they do….but the culture around it as well, ofc i admit, i would likely not be able to, cause knowing my autism I'd probably cry 😅, but it still offers a glimpse into other cultures for everyone
And i do enjoy the women in this tribe alloeing their daughters to have a choice and even being sad they still seem respectful of that choice and acknowledge that the young need room to grow into their own…wish more people in the "civilized world" would think the same

I understand why you wouldn't want to do the lip plates, I wouldn't want to either. But I heavily sympathize with mother about the loss of tradition. It's not something you want to let go, but it's also not something that's easily kept either.
