It's almost like we forgot Africans sold their own people into slavery in exchange for weapons and materials for many years. I'm not surprised at all by their line of thinking, even if they're partially responsible. Just a revolving door of us blacks being our worst enemies.

I am an African immigrant and I never think white people are superior. I judge you not by your skin color but by your character. There very kind, brilliant, hard working and humble black people and white people. There are very nasty black and white people I came across as an immigrant. FYI I easily connect with black people than white people. So, Please don't generalize or paint a bad picture.

African Americans are indeed stereotyped in a lot of instances. However, the ideal life partner for a child of African parents depends on the family beliefs. Some African parents will not allow their children to marry someone from another tribe even though they are from the same country. Some will not allow marriage because of social status etc. While some do not care who you marry as long as you are happy and giving them grandbabies. But, I don't agree that African people prefer white spouses over black. I think it's another stereotype that people want us to accept, but it’s not factual. Am from a family of seven siblings born in Nigeria we all married differently to our preferences. Four of my siblings married spouses from different tribes, one married from the same tribe, and the last two married spouses from Europe and America I must add the American is a colored man. We must be cautious not to generalize individual preferences as the truth for a group of people.
