Yes it's possible in north African countries due to harsh hot weather, less information about rivals ,deserty area ( lack of experience in fighting these areas),no air strip as in western Asia
Why no info how ukrainians helped tuaregs?
Yes African countries always love dictators and tyrants You think they will expel the Russians but God willing this desert will be a graveyard for the Russians

I respected your work but with video we now know your stance , u are pro West and anti african
We live in a hoi4 game.
It's bad. It's really bad. I mean there's 6 factions with conflicting interests bad.
Malian Government
Tuareg Rebels
Islamic State
Colonial France
U.N. Troops
And Wagner Mercenaries.
None of them want the same thing. Everyone wants to screw each other, allies included, and don't care about the people caught in the crossfire.
This all because France can't draw borders for shit.
Listen to some Tuareg desert blues if you want some good music. Groups like Tinariwen & Imarhan and great guitarist like Bombino & Mdou Moctar #FreeAzawad

You missed the bit where Ukraine was behind the attack on Wagner and Mali has cut diplomatic ties with the country.
Try not to start a civil war.
Aftica: impossible
Interesting
It almost feels like the West is more and more using this war not to beat Russia, but let it bleed itself into its next collapse.
France is watching with relief rn. They have badly fallen out with Bamako and therefore understand they don't have to lift a finger to help its military junta. Malians will eventually find a way to blame France for not assisting them, after they kicked them out, but the French understand their interest is no longer in Africa and they need to "decouple" from these burdensome economies. Now is the time for the rebel brothers to help Mali, that's Burkina Faso and Niger! Wait… they are in danger from those armed groups too? Dang it! … Mmmmm ….. Papa Macroonnnn!!!
Report from Al Jazeera saying that the situation worsened under Wagner:
The Malian military government, in a bid to defeat separatist rebels and fighters in the north developed ties with Russia’s military and its Wagner Group of mercenaries, but the alliance has struggled to put an end to rebel activities which appear to have escalated, especially since the country ordered the UN peacekeeping mission known as the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) and its 15,000 international soldiers to depart last year.
“Since UN peacekeepers left last year, Islamist militants have been attacking communities in the northeast on a regular basis,” Adama Traore, a 45-year-old farmer who fled from Ouattagouna to Ayourou last August, told Al Jazeera.
I wrote in an older video, changing french military for Russia/wagner is a big mistake. While the french are not angels, they were far more cautious about what they were doing, Russia is just going to transform Mali into a battleground for decades.
One of the reasons Bamako were frustrated with France was that France was only willing to fight the jihadists and not the Azawad rebelsFor the French, the Tuaregs AZAWAD are not an Islamist terrorist organization.
The Tuareg rebels are resistance fighters who fight for the independence of their country (Azawad) and their Amazigh Tuareg culture.
Like the Kurds.
