It produces products that are harmful to human health, similar to what the tobacco industry has done for decades. The only reason it still exists is to give people with limited skills a job, but that’s not a justification for continuing such a destructive practice. In the next 50 years, cultivated meat will start replacing this outdated industry by providing a healthier, more ethical alternative. The reality is that the cattle industry only persists because the people involved in it haven't been given the opportunity to transition into more useful and productive work.
