🏍️Welcome to our review on the 2016-2019 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports. Why are we doing a review of the past versions you may ask? Well, before we do our 2020 review we found that we are at the end of an era here. With more comforts and electronics being added to the future line…

Hello, Great Video. What rear bag,do you had on the bike?
Because of the so much positive reviews from AT owners I've picked up the AT MT '22.
Great review!! Planning on buying a ATAS shortly and can’t really decide if to go with a low mileage 2019 or a 2020. The 2020 is like 35% more money 🤔 but have some extra features. At the same time I want simplicity and not to many buttons 😂
Thank You So Much for the great vid and review…..Love the scenery (I'm a SE Washington guy) and your info is helpful as I'm just researching bikes to extend into the adventure riding segment of biking. The Adventure Sports calls to me because even though I'm a street bike rider, I started riding on my older brother's YZ's and other dirt bikes (TT?). Would be great to re-connect with some dirt riding and seems like the AT might be the ticket 🙂
Best review ever!!!
I love my 2019 ATAS! Did a 2,200 mi Texas through Mexico trip and loved every mile. It’s not exactly a nimble handler at low speed but that’s to be expected. Also cruise would’ve been nice but not a deal breaker. I like the simplicity…fewer parts to break on a long trip.
It would be nice to see a review of the new AT AS 1100. Am thinking the best one is the manual transmisión with a quick shifter and ES. To save some weight.
Cheers from Perú.
Did you swap a rear spring being a bit larger than the average bear? 😜 I do know with luggage the rear is a bit soft.
why your ABS and Traction lights is on? Trying to figure out. One bikes is off, your and one I trying to get from neighbor lights is on. How support to be? thanks
@09:23 I laughed so hard when you said that with the grip heater. I have the same problem. When I ride in standing position, I always hit those button unintentionally.🤣🤣🤣
18 ATAS myself, picked her up on clearance earlier this year and could not be happier… Love the 30th anniversary paint scheme!
Do you have any of the fuel pump/fuel tank debris issues with any of your rentals? Apparently it only impacts the larger tank on the AS trim.
Hey, great video! I am a proud owner of an ATAS myself, I love it! (I also had the old XRV 750 Africa Twin). I wanted to ask you about the headlight guard, where can I get one of those and if it mounts on the original ATAS “crashbar”? The reason I’m asking is because I don’t have the original crashbar anymore (bought an aftermarket one). Thanks!
I love my 2018 ATAS ! What a great bike. It has made me a better rider because it’s so capable. Thanks for the review !
My 2020 ATAS came with Metzeller Karoo Street tires. Do you use those on any of your rental AT’s, or are they insufficient for the dirt?
Had a 2014 KTM 1190 R, traded it for a 2017 Africa Twin. Too many MTC failures, I just didn't trust the KTM to not leave me high and dry. Love my KTM 500 EXC, the 1190? Not so much.
Do you guys have a lot of fork seal problems? On my second set after 6k first set lasted 600 miles second set replaced at 5k on 2019atas
I have a 2018 ATAS but don't have any off road experience. I may go trial & error or I may go to someone like Rawhide to get some experience. For probably 80/20 maybe 70/30 what tires would you recommend.
I love my 2019 ATAS. You are a much better rider though. Good job.
Great review! I'm stuck at home because of this shitty Coronavirus and it's refreshing to see someone riding in the wild, freely. Thanks mate.
