My first ever documentary style video showing my first solo trip ever. Visiting family and seeing the Sierra Leonean culture was scary but fulfilling. Sometimes instead of waiting for family or friends to go and do something solo, just do it. Go on those solo trips, explore the world around you because there is so much to see.

  1. The African Americans are making two movies about their love of Sierra Leone. Hopefully it will cause more people to visit SL and bring tourist dollars from all over the world.

    1. Saltwata vibes โ€“ created by an African American (Gullah man) who has dual citizenship with Sierra Leone.
    2. Becoming noble.

  2. i agree with you that we sierra leonean diaspora need to step up but understand with the way the salone government is and how tribalistic they are itโ€™s VERY hard to truly implement the things that matter. they only care about money at the end of the day.

  3. 'everyone is building but no one is building' โ€“ YES!

Just wanted to comment and say it is rare to see a vlog in Lungi area so thanks for sharing โ€“ the editing was on point

There are whispers that there are plans to move the capital from Freetown to somewhere near Lungi and build a whole new and properly planned city(new state house, new parliament, etc)

YES โ€“ we in the diaspora need to step up for sure.

  4. u right about the infrastructure changes like for basic things. but the parents are doing bigggg things building homes back home in one generation! so that hopefully your generation and the next will go back home and make it happen. that in itself is enough work fa them! god bless africa
