H&M DID NOTHING WRONG – COOLEST MONKEY IN THE JUNGLE HOODIE (RANT) | Nigerian Food Channel VLOG

I add my voice to the viral news about H&M advertising a “coolest monkey in the jungle” hoodie worn by a black model.

  1. What bugged me even further was that the mother said that she wasn't fussed about the hoodie but then afterwards she describe how herself she had described her history of racism of being called a monkey but that was offensive? Huh? It's okay for your son to be labelled that but not you?

  2. I'm a black young entreprenuer trying to become a CEO video game designer and a writer and fashion design but nobody want my products no matter how hard I try to explain to my audience they always want the same brand from the same company that are just making basic design. I'm being unique thinking outside the box trying to be different

  3. I feel you on everything you spoke about, if I were the mum and I saw the text on that jumper I am clearly walking out of that photos hoot and I will sell them out to the press before they even have the chance to explain the story behind the jumper. Black folks don’t tend to support one another business wise I have seen that to be very common in the U.K. as compared to other country, we have to be confident in what we create and our community in order to hold on to that mic on that stand that yeah we are kings and queens.

  4. I 100% agree with you, you articulate your words and convey your message effectively! As a Black person (Nigerian) I want our people to not sit and allow the world to use us until we have nothing. The mother is so sad to allow chicken change to manipulate her to have her son wear that jumper. Please it's important to educate your black son and daughter their importance!

  5. The only way to get taken seriously is to hit them in their pockets (profits), if they can't respect us then they don't get my money! Simple!!! Money is the only thing they value and respect.
