Can we have accurate information on how the First Chimurenga started, where and why? Also tell us where the first prison in this country was constructed.
Loved my timein Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) lived in Mabelreign was married in the Presbyterian church in Salisbury in 1961
Rolling down to Salisbury town
Or is it my imagination?
Ndebele kingdom n shona kingdom were two separate states. Mashonaland was occupied by settlers thru peace because they promised the kings n chiefs of shona people to protect them against their enemies ndebele ,shangane and also disband expansion of Portuguese colonisation.
2000shona men was trained by settlers to fight ndebele kingdom at Mbembesi battle known as Gadade.
Rudd concession and any other signature signed by Ndebele kings HD got nothing to do with Mashonaland people . Know true history don't publish biased verdicts based on tribalism
Very good history thanks you
Cecil Rhodes had many schools and Cape Town university
I heard about some cheif who never slept earning the name haarari which was how harare was named saka it was untrue lol
Do you know how the all the buildings were made? Like did the british just build themselves, where did all the cranes come from, where the natives involved in any capacity? Also is it correct that there was zero modern style houses before the british?
But why didn't the British government stop john when they realized he lied about the king giving him land
Good job man
Bt otherwise great and interesting video
More content was going to be perfect
Can you please explain the part where the white man stole the land.
The truth is, Rhodes and Lobangula (Son of Mzilikazi) were friends and it was Rhodes that PERSUADED Lobangula a Ndebele to stop hunting the shona in mashonaland. Rhodes was a builder who build Rhodesia then Mugabe came along and broke it down again. There was never hatred in Rhodesia between white and black but there was always tension between the shona and Ndebele and as a policeman in the early days many times attended scenes of conflict between the two tribes. Nkomo himself admits that he made the mistake of taking sides with Mugabe. Nguruhundi was going to come to revenge the earlier days (before the whites came) of the Ndebebele slaughter of the Shona tribe. I was in attendance at the Mtumbane when the forces Zipra and Zanla were housed in Bulawayo after the war and even then the hatred of each other continued and they fought each other violently. Why do some people hide the true facts from our children. All the white man did was come to Rhodesia to try and find peace and build a beautiful first world country for All Rhodesian's to prosper from. People had jobs, education and a wonderful lifestyle and NOW there nothing left. 99.9 % of whites grew up with blacks and were keen to see change where all were equal in standard and yes we should have done this earlier than we did, but still I have wonderful black friends in high places in Zimbabwe who all agree it was better for them and their families under Rhodesian rule that it was under Mugabe's Zimbabwe rule which may I add was in power three times longer than Smiths Regime. God Bless Zimbabwe that they may now see logic, stop blaming colonialists, introduce a young educated youth to take over and use the vast skills past and present to rebuild the breadbasket it once was. Nkosi Sikele Afrika.
Very interesting I was born in Zimbabwe in Harare remember that beautiful city and county
Liked! Very good 👍 looking forward to more Zimbabwean history
How about the first chimurenga?
I don’t know how many times you used the phrase to cut a long story short 😭

Great piece of African story being told by an African, now wait for the negative comments from the right wings-experts of the De Beers and the Cecil John Rhodes #I-rest-My-Case
Great stuff
Great video. You should do one about Harare High Schools. Prince Edward being the olderst and founded in 1898.
thanks informative
Pioneers were great strong men, warriors in their own right. Had to fight their way up, greatly out numbered,
which you fail to mention in your propaganda.
I Don't see any great African Pioneers, ohh, wait a minute, maybe they are Zimbabwean pioneers going down to South Africa.
How the wheel has turned. Lol.
On reflection, when the whites landed at the cape, they should of got straight back on their ships and fucked off to Australian / US / Canada; and just left Africa for the Africans.
It’s not a buzzing city now ! It’s fucked up.
your narration is good keep on going
a good accurate history piece is always interesting
Very sad what has happened since 1980- so many lives lost- a country that was called the “bread basket of Africa” reduced to third world poverty and tyranny. Hopefully things can get better but it will be a long process.
A nice video. There is of course much more to tell.
That was excellent. Reddit brought me here
Awesome video dude. Subscribed.
