@EatieEatie

What is the first one called

@henryadell9641

We have to police people doing legal things to make money? We attacking artists now? Seems like overreach. There is degenerate music in every genre. Black people are crabs in a bucket, man.

@rayfordmassey4408

I agree with everything he said about mentorship of young men

@sranks007

self destructive musical trends we now call culture…..Umar as real as it is

@guerrillanation1862

That guy in braids…..need to stop……bringing up fashion…podcasts….what????? Where’s the banks…where’s the supermarkets…..where’s the hospitals…..schools……etc…etc…

@Tay-st4sy

I appreciate Dr. Umar's willingness to want to sit on "the small man's couch" BUT IT'S TIME TO TURN DOWN SOME OF THESE CLOWNS!!!

@demetriuslewis9514

You say that before we were born, we sat the foot of God, and we knew our purpose for coming to earth, but we lost that purpose when we were born. How do you find that purpose again while you are alive

@ludmillaP-n8k

Dr. Umar is 💯 right about the hip hop industry.

@smokesolid8927

Wish we had people like Dr.umar in the mexican community

@Fella100

Rappers Hip Hop hasn't done sh….t for blk ppl or community's hvnt built sh….t

@tt5.071

Broooo hip hop has done absolutely nothing positive for the black community, and it's poison. This dude just doesn't want to admit he's wrong.

That being said I still listen to my favorite artists. Luckily I was taught as a child this shit is all lies and poison so don't live my life like they say.

@fayehope9216

Any genre blacks enter we leave our mark hip hop was and is venue we can use for our political stance our street culture our lifestyle to also romanticize the gritty side of violence free well is a individual choice . We often assimilate to our captures prospectives and act like animals in a cage as we undermine our power our culture. Yes hip hop gave us an avenue to be heard and grow outside the lines of our past realities some grew positive some not so much. I don’t want to equate myself with the glass half empty is some good in this genre see what you see.

@jonathanhenry8152

They ain’t got to be successful rappers on a larger scale. Every inner city has highly influential rappers that control the young black youth. Is bro really from the hood?

@KitKhattt

Aww Mouse , that’s so dope seeing him with Dr.Umar. I used to watch him on the Grapevine years ago .

@mrallaboutme25

You can tell who genuinely wants to convey truth and who just wants to try to sound smart. Some shit is just not debatable. Just bc the music industry/hip hop as a genre has opened a few doors within entertainment for select individuals, it has not generally done a DAMN THING for the Black youth which looks up to the ppl who represents it, the black man nor black woman that extends beyond industry affiliation and benefiting white pockets— there’s more than enough influence and currency floating within the hiphop community to demand/create its own change to further uplift, benefit, and repair our black community on a much larger scale than just giving one or two talented ones an opportunity. In 50 years we should’ve had something that the black family can benefit from and the white man can’t take. 57:59

@miamitten1123

59:17 ”To win an argument you can’t play both sides”
That exactly how you win an argument. You see the point from both perspectives. 🤦‍♂️

@nathaneriksson88

The white women comment I'm my opinion is in total reverse, it's more symbolic of conquering the manhood of the white man.

They are being cucked in that way.

@MrShaw83

I'm looking forward to Umar using Project 2025 as his excuse for not opening the school

@MWW-c1i

Its all about recruitment, keeping whatever alive.

@UncleSwell707

I watched this entire video and I must say that my absolute favorite part was @1:04:50.

THAT right there is what’s needed in the black community. THAT right there is hope that Major changes can happen for the better.

@OliverKoolO

This dude is an idiot. Sorry for such strong words

@TanTan-pn9cu

@Aaron-uc9vg

I’m love hip hop and I’m a life long fan. Dr Umar is 100% right.

@Southforthewinter

We need to stop babying men in their early 20s by saying their still kids they don’t know better. Stop it yall, we know we are capable of a mature young man by the age of 15 if raised properly, our ancestors did it for years, manhood is a mentality that can be obtained soon after puberty. No more excuses for people pretending they don’t know better. Their creative, talented and smart enough to know how to achieve some success, their very capable of choosing better. Simple as that.

@victoroko3950

All black people must know their history to free themselves from colonial mindset, media and self hatred. That means we must educate ourselves. Self awareness is important in life. Art and history and philosophy helped me to understand who i am and the world we live in.

@MarlonGianmarco

Dude in the grey was trying to sound smart but it wasn’t landing 😂

@MarlonGianmarco

He said “you don’t know what Travis Scott is sayjng” but affirms that it “isn’t negativity” 😂😂😂😂 idiot
