Health Insurance | Health minister assures stakeholders of continued engagement over NHI Bill
Government is addressing concerns raised around the National Health Insurance Bill.
That’s according to Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla, who was speaking on the first day of the 2024 Black Business Summit underway in Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg.
The Minister has assured all stakeholders of continued engagement.

NHI is nothing more than throwing their problems at the private sector. A private hospital open to all at no extra costs why would you pay diesel for generators your not getting any funds for while losing the extra income as you now wair for government to pay your salary. NHI will not only take away general tax payers of skilled peoole it eill take away many medical, and with it all medical schemes value dont exists so 1000s will go from employed to sassa. NHI is expected to take over 5-10yrs to materialize so a pipe dream far away
It's been fir years, this should have been implemented long ago, most people died and are still dying whilst the process drags….health issues should be sped up …..
