This question comes from Finnmark4, thanks for the question!
I live in Scituate! It is pronounced "sit-chew-it" btw
Never knew this. Wow.
Tank to tank communication in North Africa!? That's insane!
Cool
Scituate is pronounced like "Sit-Chew-it"
If you’re going to state the name of a town, can you at least research how to pronounce it, or are you too busy pumping out as much content as possible that you can’t be bothered for the details that actually matter; such as THE PLACE IT HAPPENED
SIT chew it
What? Wow! I love history! There is always another layer to dig!
You pronounced Scituate wrong… its "sit-u-ate"
What brand moustache wax do you use friend?
Why is it still classified after such a long time? Isn't it completely obsolete tech now?
Signal DFing has always been fascinating to me
…gawds, radio is weird
Might move there with my CB radio!
What the actual fuck that’s insane.
I’m from Rhode Island! This is fantastic !!!
So much to know about WW2 and the things behind it .
Tank to tank is CRAZY!!!
Top end of Moore''s Valley, Wainuiomata, NZ, had a radio listening post in WWII reputed to gather signals from most of the Pacific. No idea if this is correct…in 1980 there were extensive concrete foundation blocks on the site but thats all.
A few km down the road is now one of the world's major CO2 concentration recorders….priorities change.
That is wild.
Imagine being a tank crew and learning that your radio communications were being intercepted all the way across the Atlantic
Why is this not in every history book ever. This is insane
Scituate is said sitchuwit
Why would stuff still be classified from WW2?
