HARDEST Hike in Kenya / Mount Ololokwe 2000m Above Sea Level
While in Samburu County, we decided to climb Mount Ololokwe. This hike was quite challenging due to it’s steepness. That being said, thanks to our Maasai guide Simon, we made it up and it was truly worth it. The view was stunning!
If you are interested in hiking Mount Ololokwe in Samburu, the easiest starting point is at Sabache Camp where we…

Morons or Morans? Dying 😂😂😂
5:36 That game is called Bao and you can find a lot of info about it on the internet. It's a mind-challenging game, some people compare it to chess.
Awesome 💕
Hiking, always character develops me
Awesome guys👊👊
Dave, was he samburu or massai… because you referred to him as massai and i believe he is samburu, a cousin of the massai's.
Congratulations on the hike and great insight into the samburu culture especially the story on the leopard watching the morans and hoping for some meat to drop their way 😁
il love to see you visit mout kilimambogo its around Thika and Machakos in oldonyosapuk national pack its great for camping
That classic Maasai pose is always iconic! Wherever you meet the Maasais or the Samburus be it in Narok,Kajiado,Amboseli or in Laikipia, they all randomly strike the pose and a Post Card Moment happens live right infront of you 👌
I find hiking to be such a waste of time! That being said, I don't see why you have to pay a fee to climb unless you are paying directly to KWS or Kenya museums. Looks like its open to the public.
I am really waiting to see ur vlogs while touring in UGANDA ( the pearl of africa)
Quick one to you two regular holidaygoers 😊… Given the beach, a camp in the aberdares or the Mara which would be your go to?
That view from the top is so captivating. That guide payment is annoying.
Hiking try njingari falls that one will humble your fitness
Well worth the awesome views from the top love it you guys, and yes the drone shots were incredible.
I have hiked Mt Ololokwe 5 times. During the hotter months leave pre dawn and take 2 litres of water each. The guides can help carry for you. At some times of year you can pick a very deliscious herbal tea that only grows in this micro climate.
Always tag the county you are in to boost views ☺ #Samburu county
At least you should have used a Samburu or Kenyan soundtrack, not a South African one.
Good point about the sandals. Before you mentioned it I was thinking difference between the Westerners and indigenous and how free he looked going down the hill and you Dani especially with your heavy boots. You were overly prepared as Westerners and with more 'gear' which wasn't required that day. I hope you learn that a little 'chilling' isn't too bad. I had same experience coming from the West and had to learn to take more 'easy'. Even the stride was different yours was heavy due to the boots and gear. You do the sensible thing for example I would want to wear boots climbing the night time when it's dark.
The feet need to breath it's not natural to be fortified in a tight place with moisture due to sweat which can't be healthy.
Mt.olo…lokwe..🤣🤣
Beautiful landscape!
Did Simon tell you he is Maasai?. He is dressed like Samburu. The Maasai cousins who live in Samburu.
