An entire culture centred around a projection of difference.
Didn’t realize that was Andre Braugher (sp?) there!
many civil war Massachusetts infantry are buried near my home in small family graveyards in the middle of nowhere.
The Colored Regiment would then go on to reclaim Pride Rock.
Ferris Bueller leading the colored regiment
God damn Matthew b sucks at acting. Ferris is the only decent acting he's ever done
Didn't they know people who were formerly held as slaves would fight harder against people wanting to force them back into captivity…
I didn't know Captain Holt fought in the US Civil War
Flash forward to 2024…giving them guns and freedom destroyed the country these men fight for
Was that Douglas Freeman??
Awesome movie
Ferris Buller getting into shenanigans again, and dragging the local poor farm boy with him.
Keep in mind everyone that even a freed slave was absolutely not allowed to carry a firearm and much less into battle. In fact there were laws for both confederate and union armies against black soldiers.
Such an excellent movie!
fun facts: the Civil War was about money and control, not slavery. The federal government wanted the southern states to help pay debt owed to foreign countries, even though the South got little to no benefit from it.
Also the south was against further centralization of control via larger federal government – they wanted more independence for the individual states.
The slavery issue didn't become a thing until the middle of the war.
Lincoln didn't care about slavery either way and it's documented in a letter he wrote which is now historical record.
NINE NINE
Let me tell you, if you weren’t taught in history class, the wealthy elites class didn’t give two shits about color. Among them there were many shades. Matter a fact the “white” class was created to distinguish the haves and have nots. The elites, during that time, never identified as white, whites could not vote nor own land.
Jewish propaganda.
what are today's 25 year olds doing rn ?
"Pride" literally the deadliest war yet.
Not much pride in that.
Me in charge of anything?😊
So, they have issues letting black people fight but have no issues dying for them. Damn, racism is complicated..
From captain to colonel very quickly.
One of my favorites. My dad was a history buff and teacher. He introduced this movie to me when I was younger. I did not understand how great it was at that time. When my daughter and son get a little older, we will watch it together.
They fought with honor. When in World War II they were called upon again as the historic Red Tails. Never underestimate the underestimated!
Pretty pathetic that the word "negro" is censored.
“I want you to come with me.”
“As you wish”

Good movie.
Major Forbes was diffently in need of a shampoo
I love how the "colored" gentleman reduces his rank to private in order to advance in society. This is a brilliant scene.
The United Negro College Fund. Is there a bad word in there?
If you close your eyes you’d mistake this conversation with the Chicago mayor and his employees.
Just watched this and all cam say is GO ON 54TH!!
To bad they got used has cannon fodder.
Bixnood mahfaqR!
I love this movie but god the soundtrack is annoying
Andre Braugher… I had this running on the side, not paying much attention, but the moment he smiled, I recognized that smile instantly.
What an amazing ensemble cast. All fantastic and accomplished actors.
Rest in Peace Andre.
An outstanding film
So Captain Holt, Dr. Lawrence Gordon, and Simba are walking into a bar…
3 different times in my life
😂 When I read the title I thought it said handing out guns to 1000 Coloradans.
Great movie ❤
Captain Holt's origin story gets more fascinating by the day
