“Halala Syanibongela” – UniZulu Choir (University of Zululand, South Africa)

The University of Zululand Choir in South Africa performs “Halala” for a recording session in July of 2015.

This is a celebratory song for weddings, graduations, and parties. The dancing you see toward the end is from a traditional Zulu dance style.

Please enjoy the music and excuse the shaky single camera work.

Africans have the sweetest nature. They are so adorable because they have not been affected by western cultures and Black Americans ways and tendencies.

This is absolutely crazy! I don't know any of these people but their joy is so infectious, it makes me feel like they're all my cousins and I'm genuinely happy to see them and hear them.

I cry everytime I hear this song. I feel like I miss a home that I was torn away from.
