Physical and verbal abuse in relationships are not ACCEPTABLE and are Monstrous. Only a matter of time. This was a good movie filled with many lessons, good and bad. No matter how bad a marriage is, it is better to end it officially before moving into the arms of another because no matter how happy they are in the end, they both still cheated while married which is not pleasing in the sight of God. Also, when they begin to have rough patches in their marriage, they may always wonder if their spouse will run to another for comfort just as they did.
