Alright guys please keep the vitriol, lies and wild claims to a minimum. Thanks. This is a history channel and believe it or not history exists outside of Europe. Cheers and see you on the next one. Back to Early Medieval Britain next time.

  2. Thanks so much for giving some African history. I didn't get much in school and I know that I miss out on some much. So much negativeness about Africa and the black people from others. This is very enlightening

  3. The narrator blithely claims Magellan as the first circumnavigator. Likely, that claim is just another piece of European misinformation. Evidence of the presence of Africans in all parts of the world prior to the advent of Magellan should dispel that idea. OLMEC STATUES found in several places in South America and in Cambodia and many other sites, and other African cultural artifacts predating Magellan.
Sorry this makes Europeans not so indispensable.

somarians Built lower Zambizi and the Locals said it was built by the Gods.u are liars .

  6. Those enclosure structures could very well be, and I believe each of them to be part of the store house complex, built under the supervision of Yoseph the son of Yacob/Yasharel or Israel, when he was made governer of all Mitzraim/Egypt before the enslavment of his people after his death, by the pharoah who did not know him..

  7. Did anyone notice that the city he said was surrounded by barren landscape was actually surrounded by all kinda shit? You have made me dout you now. I'll never watch your videos again. Your dumn ass is from the UK too. Talk about a fucking barren landscape. Stfu bitxh

  8. Thanks for making this film. My friend's father was Peter Garlake and I had gone out there to hopefully work for him, but it didn't happen unfortunately. Got to Masvingo, Nalatale and Matopos caves and many other places. I heard the hum of the earth for the first time in Domboshava. I absolutely love Zimbabwe. My heart is still there I believe.

  11. Amazing! Thank you for doing justice to our history of Southern Africa. I can tell a lot of research went into this. You were spot on. As a descendant of the Rozvi…Thank you ❤

  12. My people. Proudly Zimbabweean wirh a beautiful mix of Manyika dad whose family travel origins to Swaziland to Swaziland as a Maphosa and a Nguni ndebele mom

These stone ruins are all over Zimbabwe and Mozambique. There are some in Manicaland Rusape, there are many in Mash West near our farm and there is an ancient Portuguese burial ground near Trelawney and an old Zimbabwe ruin

We need to preserve our heritage 🇿🇼🇿🇼

  13. Elements of African History were not lost forever, but they were stolen and hidden, and then the fires were a cover up. If there is nothing to prove the history and makes it easy to suppress the people. The reason why the Chinese are so good and are growing and developing is because of their long continuous history which is recorded, showing casing times when they were at their strongest and weakest and making sure to pass this on to their children at the earliest age. This because the backbone of a country in their drive to success but sadly this is what Africa lacks, with the majority of its History being eradicated or being labelled as Evil.😢

  14. I am from Zimbabwe khalanga tribe many tribes in Zimbabwe are claiming to be the one who build great Zimbabwe including South African tribe cold bemba the bemba s are black juwish they claim that they are from Israel and they are The one's who built Great Zimbabwe and mapungubwe from South Africa and the kholangas also from Zimbabwe are claiming to be the one,s who built it The question is who built Great Zimbabwe, on my side I don't believe great Zimbabwe where built by black people.we are claiming what is not ours

  15. Our clans totem in Zimbabwe, Swaziland and South Africa is Maphosa. It means porcupine and as a clan we arr forbidden to eat porcupines as it would bring a curse on the clan

A story is told how one of the kings of Great Zimbabwe had a wife who was ill and all the tribal doctors/medicine men/shamans were summoned to come heal/treat her. Our ancestor duly took up the challenge alongside all other shamans. He got there late and the contest was finished and he was told he was late. Desperate for the kings favour he took out a quiver if five arrows and with great showmanship he shot 4 arrows into a rock in quick succession and held the last one ready as if to fire again and just then blood started gushing from the rock

The king and those gathered were all shocked and taken aback and he was given a chance to do his rituals and administer his herbs and the kings wife shocked everyone the next day by sitting up from her death bed and talking and eating porridge for the first time in days. By day two she was walking and meeting visitors

The king was so delighted he offered one of his prettiest daughters to our ancestor and to this day we are known as Wamambo which is short for mukwasha wa mambo. The kings son in law literally

King Shaka's mom Nandi was a Maphosa. She was born in modern day Mbabane Swaziland and her statue stands in the city and I have been there to see it and been to Lobamba . Cyril Ramaphosa today South African president is also of this clan

In Zimbabwe some Maphosa people are found in Masvingo Province but my branch of the family like so many others are found in Manicaland Provinces of Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

  16. Isn't it bizarre that upon all the trading that was done, the Africans knew nothing about writing? We all know that in the ancient past, writing was known only by a selected few in the palaces of kings. Could it be that is the case here in Africa such that when the Europeans invaded, they literary burn and destroy all such writings? Since not a lot of people knew how to write, the written part vanished forever? Examples are Timbuktu manuscripts, if it wasn't buried or hidden, it would have been lost to time, and nobody would believe these Africans could read or write in Arabic. Another example is the French banning the bamum alphabet. Many more other examples, now, let the hateful comments begin.
