  1. I sometimes dislike the narrow mindedness of these politicians . All these programs, gifts are great but most of them are not necessary. Just sweet talking people and focusing on providing athletic facilities and programs to support athletes should not be the priority. Build better roads, have regulations and road guards in place that will help save lives. Start initiatives to reduce road accidents. It shouldn't take the death of an athlete to be establishing programs that will do nothing to prevent death. The death of regular citizens in road accidents are just as important. This was just a ridiculous speech boasting about new athletic programs that have been done and what the government hopes to do. Protect your citizens not just your athletes. Buying cars, providing security to your athletes are just foolish requests. Your citizens should feel safe going about their endeavors in the country!! Societal status should not be the currency to afford and access basic human necessities !!

  2. A gift should not be trampled on by all those people. Perhaps just 2 members of the church. The rest is just show business for government and media. Disgraceful

  3. interesting how this is being done for a one sports person but when Sammy Wanjiru died mjane wake alipatiwa nini na serikali since even him his death was similar-a murder….where is SAMMY WANJIRUS right if this is being a FAIR Kenyan policy for its athletes?

  4. How I wish our fallen soldiers and police officers who die protecting our country would be accorded the same respect and dignity especially when they pay the ultimate sacrifice without the limelight of cameras and media just because it’s the right thing to do!
