It means nothing to say ape dna is 98% identical to humans'. After all, a brown rat's is 90% identical to humans.
99% of the similarities are because we both have lungs, binocular vision, similar digestion, carbon-based, grow hair, birth live young, breast feed, and are mammallian….very general similarities.

Also they said gorillas have never been reported to have attacked a Human? That's amazing if that's true and they're really that peaceful. It sounds crazy but I wonder if it would be possible for gorillas to just be hanging out in cities and in parks, and they wouldn't attack any humans? Would it actually be safe and there wouldn't be any problems, as long as people gave them enough food to eat? It sounds crazy, but that might actually be possible if they're really that peaceful. Maybe in the future some cities will have peaceful apes just hanging out in city parks. Gorillas, Orangutans, and Bonobos are supposed to be peaceful. It's Chimpanzees that they say can be violent and dangerous.
