  1. For fun, I actually bought an ostrich egg and made this. It was really good. Being able to watch him cook it in such a straightforward and easy way made the whole process of cooking that giant egg much less intimidating.
On the off chance you're reading this, Gordon, thank you for helping me make such a fun and memorable meal.

  2. I remember when I was still living in South Africa, there was this farm where they would show ostriches and their eggs, and I can now say that Gordon has even more respect from me now for even getting into an ostrich egg. I’ve seen those things support the wait of multiple 10 year old children

  3. Just poked it up on the my fitness pal app, apparently one ostrich is about 2000 calories & 170g of protein, as a fitness & freak thats crazy cos that’s literally half of my calories & all my protein intake I eat in a day

  4. Not criticizing Ramsay's experience or ability, but I disagree with his view that scrambled eggs should be a sloppy, runny mess. I like firm, but fluffy scrambled eggs.

  5. How much cholesterol in 1 ostrich egg?

A single ostrich egg weighing 1,400 grams (about three pounds) contains 5,208 milligrams of cholesterol, which would amount to 1,736% of your daily value.
