Google Pixel 9/Pro/Fold Impressions: They've Finally Done It?

Pixel 9s are looking like flagships for real. Plus some AI stuff, of course.

  1. I loved mine until I could no longer take it's dismal Bluetooth problems. I tried everything to keep it from dropping music to my Bose headphones and my hearing aids at more than 5 feet.
Google 9 Pro Bluetooth problems. The Fold is not better than the basic units.
Too bad. Maybe the next model will get it right.

  2. Are you going to post your review of the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2? I just got them and am very impressed. The noise cancellation is incredible, as is the sound quality.

  3. I love Pixel phones best phones I've personally ever had I've gone from 5 to 6 to 7 pro then 8 pro 😂 and now they have done a 9 me being a sucker I've gone for pixel 9 pro xl it will hopefully be arriving tomorrow only thing before owning I'm slightly disappointed about is given the XL name it's like 0.1 inch bigger then the 8 pro would of been nice to be a little bit bigger

  4. What's up with the issue of inadequate screen response when playing audio messages in WhatsApp? Has that been fixed? On my Pixel 7 pro, the screen goes black if bright artificial light hits the screen. And judging from reviews online, this is a common problem with Pixels.

Another annoying problems are with "Files" app.

In the file system you can select many files to move, but then in the options for actions with them the option "Move to" is not available. Sometimes I had to move 1 file at a time, because it was impossible to move 2 files. Or I had to close the application and open it again.

In files (application "Files") it is impossible to scroll to the end at once, you have to twirl your finger down to the end of the list.

If these issues are now fixed, then go for new Pixels. If not, I'd consider another brands.

  5. Is nobody else having the same issue with the camera unit rattling, even when simply moving the phone? I’ve seen this mentioned by ‘wired’ and on Reddit, but I can’t believe it’s not being more widely spoken about. I’ve had two 9 Pro Folds, both have been returned, the second a couple of hours ago. For an £1800 phone, it’s not acceptable that you should hear a rattle from the image stabiliser, or the camera or sensor every time you raise or move the phone. I’m gutted, as I really liked the phone. I have a Magic V3 instead, which I and planned to return, but this has proved to be far better than I had expected, in contrast to the fragile sounding 9 Pro Folds. Please tell me I’m not alone in this!?

  6. The Pixel Fold Pro is such a let down… in the looks department. It looks GREAT unfolded! But when it's folded, there is so much waisted space to put a bigger screen but decided to keep the phone rounded like the other pixel models. And the camera bump on the back made me not like how the Pixel Fold Pro looks like.
