  1. Even though I am watching this because of school, I gotta appreciate the quality of this video, and how it explained globalization in 4 minutes, pretty cool!

  2. Globalization – easily explained

Globalization is a widely discussed topic. It is, therefore, not all that easy to explain. As it’s such a complicated term in simple words.

Lets start from the beginning with a background to globalization. Advances in technology such as mobile phones, airplanes, telephones and the internet have made the growth of transport and communication networks possible. Amongst other things, this means that people and countries can exchange information and goods more quickly; and in a less complicated way. This process is called “Globalization“. Globalization comes from “Globe“ and means the worldwide coming together of countries and nations.

Let’s look at an example. Companies used to manufacture products into home countries just like the companies “Profi-TV“ and  “Supercolor“ who produced televisions in Country A. Their products are in direct competetion with each other, but both companies pay the same salaries and production costs. They have the same customers, use similar suppliers, and sell televisions at similar prices. In short, the same conditions apply to both companies.

So far, so good. Due to technical, cultural, and economic developments that have come about through globalization, other companies which manufacture products under different conditions can now offer their products in Country A, too. That’s why a company from country B, can sell televisions here, at a lower price, because they were produced for less. The local firms SuperColor and Profi-TV have to react to withstand the competition and so the world grows closer together and there is an active exchange of goods between countries.

More affordable products are available for more people. However, not only does an exchange of products and economic goods take place, but also of services, knowledge, cultural goods and even languages. All of these individual elements are cosely linked and influence each other.

But, where is light, there is also shadow. Because of globalization and its intense exchange of goods, people and the environment often suffer.

If a company decides to move production to an economically disadventaged country, people in industrialized countries lose their jobs. At the same time, job opportunities open up to many locals in the economically disadvantaged countries. Many people in these countries work for very little money in comparison to those in industrialized countries. Therefore, they often remain poor and more often than not do not have sufficient insurance, social insurance or health insurance cover.

A further disadvantage of globalization is ecological problems such as climate change. The use of airplanes, ships and lorries to transport goods over international borders is constantly on the incurease. This causes more carbon dioxide to be released into the atmosphere which, in turn, is the main cause of global warming.

Even national environmental standards are ignored. This is a further cost factor in the worldwide international site competetion which should be kept as low as possible to be attractive for a company.

There are, therefore, many sides to globalization which affect almost all aspects of life causing me to think that the chain of positive and negative effects will continue to grow further. What’s important is to realize that globalization itself is neither good nor bad. It just depends how the people deal with all the new possibilities in the future.

  3. I would say big players grow and they are choking small businesses. This world goes in the wrong direction because of this. What is more weird is that workers pay their taxes in bigger percentages as these companies, some of them don't even pay anything!! And just look at this game they produce so much Co2 that they decide let's kill as many pigs and cows as we can because they produce Co2 😅😅😂. Bit corporations will destroy this world it's only one big game to create us as slaves!!

  5. Globalisation was and is a takeover masquerading as trade. The People of this world never voted for this. The People were never given a choice. Globalisation was done TO THE PEOPLE.
Never forget that. It began in secret. Only after the fact did people see what was happening.
Its purpose was to take away manufacturing and industry out of the hands of local community.
The next stage of this operation is to get the world's People onto digital currency, and each their own digital account. This will give the globalist-elite the power to control people through programmable money.
Globalisation was an absolute scam – just like Central Banks. Actually the two go hand-in-hand. The most artificial system – globalisation – could only be transferable by fiat currency.
This rosy story being told, in this video, is a pack of lies. Take Australia – we have lost over 90% of our manufacturing, over 98% of our industry. We used to have a thriving car industry but its now non-existent. We buy our cars from Japan, Korea, Germany etc.
Manufacturing and industry is a basis for people coming together. When that basis was taken away by the globalists, people stopped coming together in a meaningful way.
LOOK OUT YOUR WINDOW, see the result !!! Street after street of meaningless existence.
The purpose of globalisation was to reeve manufacturing and industry from out of the hands of local community – out of the hands of ordinary people – and put it into the hands of the globalist-elite.
We might be at stage 4 of a 10 stage operation. What they have planned for us in 10 years time, 20, 30, 40 … who knows.
