The British are crazy for thinking that the artifacts they stole should be given back to the thieves that stole it!!😮 The nerve of these people…
It wasn't during colonial rule. They looted and burned Kumasi during the last Anglo -Asante war in 1900. After which the Asante empire was forced by the British to release its teritorial claim on the coastal areas (Gold Coast) and other territories. The Asante empire was reduced to a state and in 1901, the British form Gold Coast Colony which included the coastal areas and other territories the Ashanti empire used to claim. Asantes state was not part of the Gold Coast colony. The British called the coastal areas "Gold Coast". The British Governor ruled Gold Coast and Asante king(specifically the Asante king uncle) ruled the Asante state since the British exiled the Asante king. The Asante king Prempeh later was returned and continued his rule. When Gold Coast gained it's independence by Kwame Nkrumah, Asante state joined newly formed Ghana as a state within a state in 1957. Let's not misinform the public with general misconception. There was no British governor for Asante state even after the Asante empire lost the last Anglo-Asante wars in 1900s after a 100 yrs when it first started
The British attacked Asante just to illegally control its gold and other rich resources like good timber. They burnt Kumasi, exiled the Asantehene, his family and powerful Asante Chiefs and the great Yaa Asantewaah who led Asante in the War of 1900.
Apart from the Artefacts, the British stole more than 400,000 ounces of Gold from the burnt Palace in Kumasi, this is worth more than 2 billion pounds today and the British MUST pay this amount to Asante.
You have no idea what this traitors have mind before suggesting this .. Africa is always sleeping and forgetting things so easily.. you’re trusting this people that colonized , tortured, enslaved and killed our forefathers ?? Do you ever think the west will ever forgive us about what they did to us if we’re ones ?? See own they descriminate our brothers in the west and show racism yet you’re believing .. do you even who whites / west are ??
You’re very stupid to display this here .. ain’t you ashamed to published this ? If Ghana are the ones to stole this treasures from the west , would they do same or it’ll return permanently .. ?? Your own stolen treasures claiming to loaned to you yet you’re happy and even displaying it to the world .. do you even know what they’re plotting this time around yet you’re there and they’re telling you to build trust with them
Wow

Why is it on loan? It belongs to Ghana. Don't give back the thief your property.
But the west will say that we don’t have history as Africans just to demoralize our creativity
I thought they said we were wearing leaves as clothes before they met us
I dont think Ghanaians are going to return these artefacts to the thieves, it doesnt even sound well for the thief to design a return policy of looted goods.
No retuning back, Britain should pay the damage cost to Ghana and also return the rest in her keeping.Africian are not fools as they think.
If not British people we will the richest people on earth 😢
The Ashanti Empire, was a powerful and influential Kingdom. They battle the British, and never submitted to British dominance. But retain their independence, and kept their Culture Heritage and Identity intact. To preserve their history. They never forgot who they are" Well Done Ghana 🇬🇭
These items are brought to kumasi to fool we Ghanaians. Ask our politicians, where are their bank accounts open?
Our politicians are more dangerous than our colonial masters
I told you we Ashanti dont play thats why we are the most powerful tribe in Ghana and Africa. FACTS
ASHANTI KINGDOM
Can the culprits be jailed😅😂😂
My question is why these thieves took this thing away over 100 years ago? I suspect this is not original one
I still don't understand and wonder why Ghana still run and seek help from the usa and it Europe who are the dirty and worse greedy thiefs from ancient times till date for help.
They are the same people who always pray for west Africa not to be fully independent but to be under their dictatorship.
Africa must kick all those western thiefs and idiots from their dictionaries and life
Ashanti kingdom 🔥🦅💥💥
Greetings from Ghana 🇬🇭
Ghana is a West African country, and probably rich in resources but Western influence has made some of our leaders greedy
Ghana is welcome by the way, without the British preserving them they'd have been broken, smelted down for parts, like all of their other artefacts. Museums are British/European culture. Look at Egypt, they stole and destroyed many tombs until the British came and preserved them.
