I spent 4.5 weeks in Ghana on a solo trip to learn more about the various cultures, history and most importantly food. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing vlogs from the 7 different regions I visited on this trip.

  1. I hope you enjoyed your trip. This video went by so quickly. Can't wait to see more of Ghana through your lense and hear your commentaries about their some of their social political issues. Also, paused at 11:24 as I thought the spices the market woman listed were in tandem with Biryani (an Indian/Middle Eastern rice delicacy), rather than jollof (and truth be told, I did a quick Go0gle search only to discover that most of those spices are indeed used in Biryani). Like you said in the video, that particular market is known for importing south Asian spices + plus most of traders are Muslims, so it makes sense that their version of jollof gleans influence from Asia and Middle Eastern nations. Looking forward to more videos.
