Ghana ethnic violence: At least 20 killed in Bawku town

At least 20 people have been killed in ethnic violence in Ghana’s Upper East region. The violence in the border town of Bawku is part of a dispute about who should be the area’s traditional leader. Hundreds have been displaced and businesses shut.

Al Jazeera’s Hamza Mohamed reports.

  1. Typical Aljazeera with their usual sensational reportage about anything Africa. A small tiny chieftaincy conflict in a small town is been blown out of proportion. Let BBC, CNN report about that in their Arab lands and hear them come out shouting about racism and islamophobia

  2. lets be real here BOKO HARAM is in bawku town i m still on the search and they have spread in 5 group i cant expalin my key mapping here but Boko haram is in Ghana operating secretly

  3. Listen Al Jazeera, specify the exact place and stop the fake news, it is the northern part within the Upper side that is what is happening just one town, not the whole Ghana, and and it is not Ghana ethnic conflict.

  4. Al Jazeera no one is subscribing to your channel. Bullshit. Why do you spreed negative news about someone's country. So are you telling me we do not have such incidents in Qatar. When did you report on that, not even once that i know off.

  5. Why the English voice overs when they are speaking English and it's even clearer than the person talking over them. It's insulting. Aljazeera do better. Additionally you are not even pronouncing the town correctly.

  6. No leadership in Ghana for the past 8 years…nana Addo destroyed everything in Ghana. He should be arrested. Nana Addo is a criminal mafia.
I pray God will save mother Ghana ❤❤❤

  7. Al Jazeera indeed. I never trust them a bit. All they know is to propagate negative things that happen in Africa and not the violence, drinking bars and brothels in Qatar and the gulf countries. smh

  8. Its ignited by the incumbent government, the NPP, to prevent elections from taking place at Bawku in order to deprive its opponent, the NDC, from winning the December 7 elections as Bawku is purely NDC stronghold.

  9. Those are Satan worshipers Nothing like traditional leaders. The only True leader we have is Christ. Fellow Ghanaians, stop worshipping gods of the world(Satan) and worship God.

  10. Chapter: The permissibility of selling animals for animals of the same kind and of different quality

    Jabir reported:

There came a slave and pledged allegiance to Allah's Apostle on migration; he (the Holy Prophet) did not know that he was a slave. Then there came his master and demanded him back, whereupon Allah's Apostle said: Sell him to me. And he bought him for two black slaves << Sahih Muslim 1602 >>

  11. it just two groups occupying tiny section of the North their conflict is like an undying volcano even the wind can ignite it at anytime I can't recall how many times governments past and present have tried to resolve the issues between them once and for all, it's exhausting with those two groups to be honest
