  1. These current crop of Ghanaian leaders are sellouts. All they do, have the least benefits to the majority of Ghanaians.
They have the mentality of capturing state resources for themselves at the blind side of Ghanaians, and make a funfare about such projects to mislead the majority of the people.

  2. Until those still with colonized mindset and greed still alive nothing will change….when the smoke clears all but 3-4, maybe 5 countries in Africa will be free, the rest will be re-collinized in the next 25 years….good luck and prayers Sahel states….

  3. I just think the move by Ghana is flawed and should be used as a vote of no confidence by the Ghana populace on their current political leaders. A solid basis for social dissent in Ghana. What a disgraceful decision…

  4. All corruption in all facets of ghana's society must end starting from the top of government the president all the way down…..GREAT GREED,GREAT SELFISHNESS, IS THE LEGACY OF AFRICA GHANA AND WHEN THIS YOLK IS ERADICATED THEN WILL THE HEALING AND REBUILDING WITH COMMENCE…..😢

  5. They are now fighting over leadership to show how stupid they all are. They are campaigning to show who is more stupid than the other, in damaging the economy.Traore has shown the way learn from him. Stupid Ghanaian Politicians. Just steal and very soon after leaving office you will misuse those billions and come back looking for more.

  6. Ghana just did the same thing with Lithium. Then, this Akufo Addo wants to lecture Africans about the virtues of ‘democracy’ . Look where Ghana is since Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown!
Men like Akufo-Addo continue to give away Africa’s wealth in exchange for a stint in office while the country stagnates under the burden of debt and sale of raw materials.
This is one reason while the rest of the world disrespects leaders like Akufo-Addo.
They don’t like Ibrihim Tarore, however, they respect him because he is courageous. Only moral men could be courageous. Even enemies respect the mind of the moral and the courageous.

  7. Ghana needs a government that will retain 80percent of all Ghana,s natural resources just like BURKINA FASO, let's find all the criminal,s behind our natural resources including our oil wells

  8. After some of these ignorant Ghanaians will be making fun and calling out Nigeria. But Nigerians own and control their economy, and the biggest industries are own by Nigerians.Dangote just built 20bn dollars refinery,Nigeria local oil company oando just bought out Agip in Nigeria for 750m dollars..At least Nigeria ecourages the people and company to get involved in every aspect of the economy unlike Ghanaians that still giving foreign companies a whooping 80 percent in your own raw materials.😂Well,l believe only military regime suits Africa, these democracy is only a deception to continue to rape Africa and others,it is not about the people. These politicians are worse than the colonial, they are muppet, puppets and sellout.

  9. Problem is with the African themselves. regardless who is exploring their natural resources.
if the leaders are corrupt, the people should fight to remove them. Freedom never was free you have to fight for it.

  10. If you claim to know there were existing refineries in Ghana before the establishment of this new one, where are they located in the country, and are those refineries owned by the government? Stop sharing non-evidence-based information that has no basis but a complete lie to the public.

  11. Next the president will want to house it in Europe and the United States lol watch your government people. Read the Panama papers now you know where they're stashing the chop money as you remain poor. Transparency is everything. Investigative journalists get to work.

  12. This is shamefull. I guess Some leaders with many diplomas actually bought them. How much money did Akufo-Addo got in his own pocket. He could have developed the gold bussines without selling out the resources. What is 500 Jobs? The nature and human health Will be damaged even more.
It is ghanaian gold and Ghana get only 20%. India Will get more than 100%, They are always going to take a little bit more. Can Ghana exploit India in a similar way? Foreigners treat africans as slaves and africans accept it. There is no hope for Africa. Sad destiny.

  13. Real economic independence is not based on having gold refinery. UAE and KSA have refinery but virtually all economic tools is pegged against petro dollar and its foregine policies in most part is framed to protect western neo imperialist interest. Superficial speech for public consumption is a clever tactics providing an illusion. Look to Ibrahim taror or Gaddafi for real attampt of economic Independencey.

  14. Come to Zambia alot if not all mines are 20% government and 80% foreign owned eg kcm. If it's toll gates chines collecting tolls for next 20 years for making a less than 50km 2 way road. That's why we leave africa when we find money too much useless thinking from our leaders in suits.

  15. Africa will not be emancipated economically until we free our selves from the slavery mentality and corruption that has bedeviled our political, economic and social fabric of our nations. If this analysis is the true picture of this refinery in Ghana the present leadership should be thankful to God that Jerry Rawlings is dead. With 80 percent to foreigners the refinery will not change the economic landscape of Ghana, its another wasted project.

  16. There is no cure for the greed of gold. The more valuable gold becomes, the greedier people will become. Greed has no color, so anyone that loves power only want more Gold. 😔🤨

  17. We diasporans are extremely disappointed in this news. The wealth in our ancestral homeland needs to stay on the continent. What are you celebrating? Giving our precious resources to foreigners when people across Africa and the diaspora are suffering in ways that can be avoided and prevented. Where are the strong brothers like Traore and the brother from Senegal? We have 400+ years of dealing with devils and sellouts that exploit our talents and resources.80% of the resources in this case leaves the rightful owners while you settled for a measly 20%.Honestly is this the best you can do? This madness MUST stop. Where is the backbone of those who made such a lopsided deal like this? They have just as much refining experience as you do. ZERO. You could have done that yourselves and kept the wealth on the continent that it originates from. I am sure they are somewhere laughing and giving high fives at how many trillions they will make off of the naive black folks who don't realize what they have. Respect is slipping away very quickly from your brothers and sisters in the diaspora who will be home soon. If you can give 80% OF THE PROFT TO FOREIGNERS THEN YOU CAN FUNNEL REPARATIONS TO DIASPORA ACROSS THE WORLD.! No more sellouts please. This is depressing.
