  1. I think Odoi has to share the blame in both goals. If he was proactive enough, I don’t believe we concede both goals. Props to him for the intelligent pass for the 2nd goal.

The first goal, I think Inaki wanted to pass to the goalkeeper as there was a man right behind Odoi but if Odoi was proactive and moved into space, Inaki would have passed to him instead.

The 2nd goal, the After Bukari regains possession, Odoi basically gives up on the play. The Egypt player runs past him and dispossesses Bukari to setup the goal.

Nowadays, you can’t just hoof the ball out of player when you gain possession so players need to concentrate the entire game. If fatigue is the issue then Chris Hughton needs to make the appropriate changes early.

  2. Chief the players like Jordan don't like to pass the ball to inaki. Inaki is a centre forward but he practically made odoi looked good by filling the space for him because odoi can't run. How on earth does a striker play defence. Every time I saw inaki with the ball he was in our own half or defense area when he should be getting clean through passes so he can do what he does best

  3. The coaches are tactically weak. You are 1:2 up and Egypt is super pressing you. At this point, if you will do a sub. do you need a forward player (Bukari). .? Such a poor tactical decision. When a CM or CDM would have given you more solidity at the back. bocoos coaches.

  4. Poor defending was at fault in this game. Cannot blame the manager here. Basic defensive acumen totally absent. Again, they scored from our own mistakes not from Egypt being better than is.

However, the Afcon 2024 is very revealing. African football has picked up. Ghana just another country with a past notable reputation. Now Ghana is average. There's Nigeria, Cameroon, Senegal, Morocco, Ivory Coast and Egypt to all contend with. Not to mention even the likes of Cape Verde, DR Congo, Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea and Namibia. Afcon now is of a high standard. This year's Ghana squad needs to pack its bags and return to Accra as I cannot see how they will escape this group now with just 1 point after two games.

  5. Odoi was our weakest link. As for Inaki and Osman is pardonable. They committed that blander because they tried to cover for Odoi. Odoi in the two games have proved to be our weakest link

  6. Chris Hughtons selection and substitutions are very questionable.
How can Jordan who did nothing stay that long on the pitch and Joseph Paintsil come on so late.
Inaki at the first place shouldnt have been that long on the pitch.
Soo sorry for Bukari because he is good.
    Chris Hughton has failed bitterly

  7. I shudder to think why Odoi was still on the pitch after the first half when we had taken a one goal lead. He was once again our weakest link just like the first game. The Egyptians utilized that weakness to their advantage by always putting the balls into that position and playing long balls behind Odoi because he cannot run, then they put two or more players in that position. I don’t blame Inaki at all. Bukari, I blame for taking the ball into our 18

  8. The Black Stars will get better only when JOHN MAHAMA is the president of Ghana. AKUFFO ADDO is CURSED by the 77 GODS of OGUAA………………….

  9. Why is it that we are afraid to ask questions about the Ayews? ….Jordan caused the first goal…he doesn’t want to release the balls… address that issue please….is good dede didn’t play…Bench his brother too and put bukari there.

  10. you cannot blame coaching on the two player blunders. These were not errors based on coaching strategy or alignment! lack of concentration falls upon the players.

  11. inaki was just foolish to play that back pass without any awareness or common sense, he could have elected 3 or 4 good options and then decided to go with what he should not have done, this shows to me a lack of situational awareness and common sense.

  12. Inaki Williams shouldn't be blame for that back pass, Odoi as a defender was supposed to run wide to receive that ball but was walking flat footed whiles there was an Egyptian player behind him.

  13. Ghana team is very inexperienced… And have to build an afcon mind set….real leaders at the defence are lacked..the coach is OK in my opinion… Lord help GH…as for naija take us go final

  14. Semenyo, should have been substituted in the 65th min then jordan plays as a striker and paintsil moves to jordan position on the wings, there were no forward defence splitting pass
