Fun facts about this episode!
1. That Nigerian prince skit was kind of based on a real email I got like 8 years ago.
2. Yes, as a part time job I do hit jobs for the Duolingo bird when he's on his days off.
Thanks to all you Nigerian geograpeeps for helping out in this video, and especially Benjamin and Claudia for being IN the video! You guys rock!

@bstunna001

@jamesakinola

I wanted to tell the story of my country to my American class and was wondering how to do it with the highest level of objectivity possible. Finding a non-Nigerian do this was a great idea for me. I'm happy I found this video. I used it but had intermittent pauses to make further clarifications or expand certain things said in the video. Everything presented is nearly accurate except for some figures which have changed between the time the recording was done and the present. Thank you for the excellent work. You guys are great storytellers. I love the dramatization (skits) infused. They make the video very interesting to follow and real. Of course, the narrative is real!

@codeoftee

@okoyechigozie1775

Buhari isn't hausa, he's Fulani,and the hausa's re their subject, although you fun but Nigeria isn't fun at all, also isalm is the majority in Nigeria but I understand your chat, more tribes are Christians than musilms but cause of the huge birth rate in the North and Biafra is a just, Noble, course and salvation for the Igbos who are being marginalize…God bless Biafra

@Millenialhermit

Yey I was expecting Agbani there. She's the only Nigerian I know 🙂 24 years later she remains to be one of the best miss world winners and it's easy to understand why she's the only Black African to so far win the title. She's impossible to replace .

@Millenialhermit

The Filipina mother is the only hint that that half pinoy guy is indeed half pinoy hahahah <3

@Southmhaladi77

IT'S QUITE DISRESPECTFUL FOR YOU TO REFER TO A FAILED COUNTRY LIKE NIGERIA A POWERHOUSE…

@krisstarring

I've never been to Nigeria, but I have had the pleasure of having a few Nigerian friends. It's a great, diverse country with a lot of potential. It just needs to work out it's internal struggles first. I hope they can do so. It's sort of become the country in Africa I pay attention to the most as a sort of nerdy hobby, if you will.

@blackkitty148

I'm a geography student and I'm watching this to learn a bit about Nigeria's background for a project😊 thank you for all the great info ❤️

What is that shirt?

Edit: I know it’s Duolingo it is just about their weird sentence choices…
