  1. I am from the Canary Islands are the geographical distribution is exactly the same as the Cape Verde islands: the Eastern islands are dry and flatter while the Western islands are green and mountainous.

  2. It's interesting to hear the comparisons you make. There are some Cape Verdeans that say, after God created Brazil, he cleaned off his hands and the islands formed from what fell (I think it sounds better in the language). It's certainly not shared between all, but I have personally witnessed beautiful camaraderie working several years in Cape Verdean bars/restaurants in the US and warm welcomes and exchanges with so many others from different origins including myself. While there is a common narrative of the Portuguse establishing themselves and bringing others on what were uninhabited islands, there is also the long history of "rocha scribida", an artifact indicating more ancient use of, if not full occupancy of the islands suggesting its inclusion in navigation of the region possibly indicative of exchanges between many West African groups and the Phoenician/Carthaginian trade network historically proven to involve posts and colonies in coastal regions and islands. I appreciate the points that we were always connected and remain so. Tudu fidju di Deus é irmon. I see and appreciate you all.

  3. It is VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER that Cape-Verdians DID NOT WANT to be Independents, but the leader african, Amílcar Cabral, who was born In Cape Verde, and developed his Africanism In Guiné Bissau, before he was assasinated.
Understand that Cape-Verde was inhabitated BEFORE for White People, than Black People.
Same happens In the main cities In South Africa.

  4. I can tell the people in Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Princepe and Mauritius dont get any sleep the only thing that they hear is Gun shots and violent screams coming from the mainland.
