The segment that excludes the West Africans (especially from Benin) from South America is 100% innacurate. The most intense (in numbers) and the latest flow from enslaved Africans to Brazil (mainly from the Gulf of Guinea to the city of Salvador de Bahia) is exactly from this region – and this is pretty clear in the local culture. And the info about Cape Verde is totally wrong too, cause the archipelago was not inhabited until its discovery by Portugal in the late 15th century – Cape Verde was a "strategic/technical stop" point between Africa, Europe and the Americas, not a place of origin of enslaved people (because the current society we have in Cape Verde today is the result of the fusion of Africa and Europe in a completely uninhabitad archipelago, which started in beginning of the Great Age of Sail – making the country, technically "New World"). If you want to make educational video, be careful enough to don't spread misinformation – like you did in this video.
