From survivor to saviour: I tapped my suffering in Saudi Arabia to inspire others
From survivor to saviour: I tapped my suffering in Saudi Arabia to inspire others
After graduation, Debra Nyanchoka struggled to secure an employment. The mom of two only survived on menial jobs to fend for her kids. So when an opportunity presented itself for her to leave for work in Saudi Arabia, she grabbed it. It wasn’t easy, but today she lives to tell the tale.

Luck is the same demon responsible for gambling addiction. You are not the Lucky mom, You are chosen, blessed and highly favoured. You really have a spirit of long suffering. Thank you for sharing your story.

There should be work visas for foreigners to work at hotels. Marriott hotel had one that gave work for almost a year at a time. Their agency provided where to live for duration of stay.
That casual statement "People still go outside the country and still look for work…..blah blah blah sindiyo" is CHILLING! Stop the casual attitude with these agencies, they MUST be BANNED!!! NONSENSE!!!!
Great woman. You are so strong. You will go far. May God bless you.
Am shocked with all this she appreciates everyone who come to her life such a positive lady you will one day be blessed

This story has several episodes that are sad but she speaks with a positive attitude. Having graduated, having been rejected by the so called husband's family, trying business, and finally struggles of Saudi Arabia is not a joke. I salute you gal.
So now can you ladies stop being stupid and following wazungu and Arabs everywhere?
This is my sixth year since I finished school & it always pains me so much & I don't know when I'll get employed

I feel so painful seeing Kenyan going Saudi Arabia to suffer there
Wise wise I see next level in Jesus name
Problem with tuko, they start the story from the birth of your grandmother. Not to go to main point .
Well I'm glad to see that this lady actually document it in a book. People need to be educated.

A strong woman is all I can say, Kudos Debra I will definitely support by buying the books. Narcissists are not only spouses or partners but employers too. Thanks for the exposure about this and i liked your statement: 'Accept rejection AGRESSIVELY and move on very fast" This is healing.
This lady deserves employment ,she is an iron lady
It is so sad of the state of affairs in Kenya. Here in the USA, if you have the 2 degrees she has, you would be blowing a lot of dollars
