Love how that 'guest' in a clip mentioned "Critical Race Theory" as one of the causes of division. What he meant was that people pushing "Critical Race Theory" were the problem. Just to remind, CRT is a scholarly concept discussed by very few people. Republicans have taken that term and translated it to mean any effort to teach children about equality and our racist history, or about racism that has been baked into the system via people, historical racism that has current day effects, laws that are still on the books. Yes, teaching facts about racism in this country is divisive, to racists. They just get so very upset when confronted by their racism. Personally I have no problem with the racism of any of my ancestors, and I know I have them, because I do not think as they did and I make no effort to defend their racism. While I am white and male and tall enough, I know I benefit from these things through no fault of my own, simply because other people are racist, misogynist fools, but I do what I can to treat all with equality and respect.
