  1. Our so called Igbo leaders are the ones killing us, we the Igbo sons and daughters. They keep setting us in defense position. Iwuanyanwu, you know that Igbos have been marginalized from the start of Nigeria, yet you stick to your one Nigeria and want to kpai all your youths trying to keep Nigeria one. We are watching you all, and when it start, you Igbo leaders who put us into this mess will get the wrought of our youths.

  2. Well spoken. It’s just unfortunate the country is still considered a third world because of this occurrences. Many Nigerians of different tribes in diaspora have businesses and property legitimately and not for once have they been asked to go back to Nigeria yet you hear such hate within us.

  3. Infact l am compelled to say that this old man is not only very unintelligent but lack wisdom. He's talking with bitterness. If igbos didn't remove this uninteresting old man as their leader, l tell you igbo is not ready to move forward. He's just talking absolutely rubbish.

  4. When a Nigerians travel abroad to look for greener pastures and they make some money, they we start bragging like we don't know what made them to left their father land, This man made me laugh, igbos in Lagos know what they are making here in Lagos they can't go because of their greediness of money, if they back to east who is going to patronize who? igbos hardly by clothes to wear, they don't have any market buy from Yorubas they only make sales here. Assuming they go back home we Yorubas will occupy the business immediately.

  5. I do not support targeting Igbos properties for whatever reason but Chief should not be economical to the truth.

1,Igbos or any tribe could not do anything about the Colonial Masters choice of placing the Capital in Lagos.
    .
2, Igbos and the rest of us Non Lagosians who came to Lagos did not come for the love of Nigeria or love of Lagos ,we all came and are still coming to make money and take advantage of the opportunities Lagos affords.
Development and growth of Lagos is simply a consequence of people seeing opportunities in Lagos and trooping there. Truth be told.Chief Iwunayanwus opening speech is egocentric and selfserving.
Last line. Lagos State Government should stop any vendetta if any.

  6. This man Emmanuel says other tribes are trolling and insulting the Igbos I guess he was not in existence when Nnamdi Kanu was insulting Yoruba entity and the Fulani Hausa.
I guess he's blind and dumb to how the Igbos are insulating, abuse and denigrating other tribes, especially Yorubas on social media.
He forgot Igbo people started what they don't want to be done unto them in Nigeria.

  7. Thank God for Bath Nnaji he have set the record straight for the Igbos to tape into for massive development that will be beyond any federal government control against the igbos

  8. I see wisdoms in his speech i suggest for both we the young and the old that every region should be treated fairly and be given equal opportunity to thrive we should stop all this hatred and propaganda of hate at all level. God bless Igbo and Nigerians as a whole.

  9. Those attacking the elder statesman for pleading for unity should stop. He spoke as a leader because peace is paramount. It's not everything you'll expect him to say in public, use your common sense! STOP investing in where you aren't welcomed. When geopolitics became hostile to China, they went back and developed their place, today everybody borrows from them. Be wise!!

  10. I had full understanding of why people hate successful people out of jealousy, the moment i stepped up my games even among my peers, the jealousy rose to a great height.
My take is simple keep soaring never take no for an answer. For me money on my mind.

  11. Honestly,i could feel his sense of patriotism. Igbos don't have any issues with any tribe especially Yorubas. If you doubt me,visit any event centre on Saturdays na Damilola weds Emeka, Chinenye weds Ade etc you will be seeing. Politicians are the ones using tribe and religion to divide the masses and they do it so well.

  12. Let them igbos keep developing others tribes state and leave their own state tell me why the indegene of that state will not be jealous of your wealth igbos try and get sence for once and take your business to your own state or else we will keep crying for decades to come.

  13. "AJEJI NI KĘĘTA ILU"
SELLING LAND & PROPERTIES TO NON-INDIGENE IS A TRADITIONAL YORUBA DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY. THEY WOULD BE NICE TO U, ACCOMODATE U, TOLERATE YOU, GET MARRY TO OTHER TRIBES, INCLUDE OTHER TRIBES IN GOVERNANCE, PATRONISE THEIR BUSINESSES AND MAINTAINED PEACE WITH NON-INDIGENE.

IGBO CAN DO THE SAME IF THEY WANTED TO HAVE AN ALL-ROUND COMMERCIAL CITY LIKE LAGOS. LONDON WAS BUILT ON THE SAME TEMPLATE.

DEMOLITIONS HAPPENS ACROS NIGERIA, IF IT'S NOT A CRIME IN ENUGU, ANABRA, ABIA, KANO etc, IT SHOULDN'T BE A CRIME IN LAGOS.

  14. I like how iwuanyanwu is using diplomacy to follow what's happening to igbos in Lagos and Nigeria in general, but I think time for pleading for calmness is over. I suggest that iwuanyanwu should mobilize our leaders and igbo elites to move for serious division of the country or go into regional government with immediate effect.
If war starts, yoruba or north should know that no tribe will defeat igbos. Nigeria civil war was fought by igbos and great Britain with the rest of Nigeria and they had it hurt. Remember igbos fought war with bare hands and held war over 3 years, other tribes should be aware of this. Fulani threatened yoruba and ransacked them and took over kwara state, ready to take other states from the west but yoruba was quiet and accepted the defeat. They should think twice before they initiate what will consume them.
We have endured and sought out for peace. Peace crying by igbos is not a weakling.

  15. Chief Iwuanyanwu said the truth about proper evaluation and due compensation for any land acquired by government. This is the standard practice elsewhere. As for the stereotyping of the Igbos by other ethnic groups in Nigeria,it's mere jealousy of other component nationalities for the best in all spheres of human endeavors-the Igbos. As children of Divine covenant, they are blessed beyond curse and favored to the envy of others and that's what is playing out now.I am not vexed with such meaningless outbursts.I also commend him for hinting on plans to develop Igbo land which they have the capacity for but for the same reason that they who claimed to own the country are anti progressives and they won't let the only progressive people in Nigeria to excel.A country whose spiritual backup is darkness and evil will forever abhor light. No wonder the whole country thrives in darkness in a modern world where electricity is the catalyst for all round development.

  16. These general statements are unhelpful. Nigerians from all walks of life including non-indigenous Yorubas have invested and continue to invest in Lagos. The emphasis on Igbo alone is wrong.
Attributing a specific character to a single ethnicity is neither here nor there. There are both honest and dishonest elements in all ethnic groups. Certain characters shown by people from certain ethnic groups can be quite unhelpful but the truth requires seeing people as individual humans first and foremost.

  17. Let the IGBOS start from Zero once again, even with their Land Mass reduced to Five States will surpass the most developed State in Nigeria in a few years… Period. And the development has already kicked off.
