  1. No one here really cares about the rubbery / low in flavour peameal bacon sandwich.
Best Chinese food you need to go to suburbs such as Markham for high quality fare.
Smoked meat not much going on in Toronto. Montreal.
Plenty of quality micro breweries. Mill Street more of a corporate chain. Their organic lager tastes like waters down pee.
Excellent ethnic food selection to chose from neighborhood to neighborhood…. Again, avoid the corporate chains.

  2. I live near Greektown and it has great food. Also, I think my city is the only city in the world that has two China towns. One on Gerrard Street East and the other but bigger on Spadina Avenue.

  3. One surprise thing is the Hot dog stands, DIY 1-inch thick sausage/hot dog is great. I work in a few city in the US and they can’t compare.

But I disagree with Burgers and Brewery, I live in Toronto, all I see is smash burgers. Due to health & safety rule, it very hard to find medium cooked burger.
There is a dozen local brews, but it can’t compare to the states

  4. As a bartender and server in Toronto for a long time! Very good job showcasing a lot of places in the downtown core. Let's just think you can be on the highway for an hour and still be here.
So travelers get out of downtown solely certain nights.
1st. Thing tipping is 15% in small eatery places. 20%-22% In Restaurants… Now don't act surprised 🤨
We have 4 China towns, Little Jamaica, and little India, Poland and etc.
Downtown always look for specials and happy hours on both F&B. Your server or bartender should be able to recommend industry staples in the surrounding area.

Toronto cocktails are getting really cool too. 9/10
Beef parties and shawarma are taken real serious around here too.

  5. You missed California Sandwiches. When I have guests (with an appetite) come to town I make sure we stop by. Side note, if you want a great cheese steak, skip Philadelphia, PA and stop by California Sandwiches. Of course a loaded (cheese, peppers, mushrooms and onions) hot veal is the house specialty.

  6. Hey Wolter you should eat Serbian food in Toronto. – cevapi (bit sized sausages or kebabs grilled to perfection in soft bread smothered with chopped onion, cilantro and red pepper sauce. Best restaurant is Three Brothers in Toronto.
