  1. The nerve of white people telling us that travel to African's most dangerous country.! Ive been to NYC, Detroit, Dallas-Fort, Florida and trust me those places are not safe for even Americans.

  2. Why the sensational headline? Burkina Faso is not a dangerous country compare to London or New York, where wearing anything nice can lead to you getting mug or murder. So stop the BS and get the fuck out of Africa.

  4. Nice to hear your trip went well.
It is easy to be judgemental and scared of foreign countries – that is why it is important for us to travel and actually see with our own eyes what the world is like.
If Liberia is a bit like the USA of Africa, is Burkina Faso supposed to be like the Soviet Union of Africa? Doesn’t look like that here though. No Black Putin threatening the world with rusty nukes anyhow.

  5. Ah, Ouagadougou. It was on my bucket list many years ago when the country was called Upper Volta, and was my second-last stop after about two yers in Africa as a 25-6 year old journalist (spent most of my time in Rhodesia turning to Zimbabwe) I was there about a week and only had enough money left to stay at a really slummy hotel except for two nights at the end of my stay, when I wrote a story about the place for a Canadian news agency,. I just wanted to produce a story with a dateline – Ouagadougou. This is truly a bucket-list place for serious travellers.

  6. Thank God we have moved on from this sort of I'm scared mentality of travelling around Africa. I mean Itchy Boots does it on a motorbike.

  7. Burkino Faso should oust the foreign Religions like Christianity and Islam, which the foreign hands are using to control and profit from the unrest and poverty.

In fact these Religions has not done anything good to blacks, nor their holy books hold the Africans in high esteem or atleast equal to Middle eastern people or Whites of West and North.

Sooner the country realize better it would be.

  8. Not the best place in Africa for sure, a few years back I stopped in the Splendid Hotel around the corner from where Noel stopped. Saw the hotel on BBC news a few weeks later and the hotel had been blown up and 15 or so foreign Nationals gunned down. Been back since but stopped at the Golden Tulip LOL. Noel was lucky arriving on a small plane, I've always arrived from France on a big plane and the visa queues are very long. And if I remember rightly, they took my passport at immigration and and a member of staff at the company I was working for had to go and pick it up next day when it had been stamped. I think that was because I just arrived there with an invitational letter from the brewery I was working for. Like many countries in Africa, only go there if you have pressing business and you are covered for medical emergencies.

  9. It is great to see you in Dakar, and that it seems to be thriving more than it was when I went there 50 years ago last summer. I grew up in the USA, and Dakar was my 3rd foreign destination after the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, and Tenerife. I was on a 16-day voyage on the SS Canberra, alone at age 15, to see a total solar eclipse at sea, the day between port visits to Tenerife and Dakar.

The Dakar skyline at night consisted of a few dozen lights, as viewed from the ship anchored well offshore. Riding tenders into port was fun. The shore excursion took us several places, including turning us loose on a market street to shop for a half hour. So there I was, age 15, alone, bargaining with street vendors in Dakar. All's well that ends well, everything went great. It was such a formative experience, that I took my kids to Africa for a solar eclipse in 2001, on a cheap tent safari in Zambia for about 10 days, then we spent a few days in Cape Town and exploring the coastline out as far as Agulhas.

Like me, their first travel adventure in Africa gave them a curiosity and willingness to travel to places most people do not go. They have each been to more countries than me now. Our flights were even interesting in 2001. Economy was sold out on Air Zambia, so we sat in Business on a beat-up 737, as famous astronomers filed past us into Economy, when flying Cape Town to Jburg to Vic Falls. There must have been a plane change in Jburg, because I remember walking on the tarmac near SAA 747s with my kids.

  10. Your title is a problem. why do you fly to this " Dangerous Country"? are you a spy for France, Usa?We don't need you in Burkina Faso because you are playing a propaganda game . You betray our country dangerous so what was the purpose of your visit to a dangerous country?

  11. So glad u arrived safely & that u felt safe once u got to ur hotel room. I have 2 say, I'm glad u only stayed the night. God bless & a hello 2 Ms.Rachel & ur lovely kids!

  12. Omg! I went to the exact same airport in Dakar I was flying back to America because my vacation in mali was over (I had to visit my family in mali) and Dakar is a very beautiful place I recommend you guys go

  13. Only saw half of this video on Facebook (technical issues) so searched for Noel on YouTube. So glad everything was ok with Burkina Faso. Great channel, subscribed 😁❤

  14. It was France, America, Canada and the western world that killed the country that was good under the leadership of Thomas Sankara from 1983 to 1987, and made Burkina Faso beggarly by killing Thomas Sankara.

  15. Concerning the boarding of passengers on international flights…in most cases the airline makes 100% SURE that you have the proper documentation to enter the country or……''YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO BOARD THE FLIGHT!""….because the airline would be responsible for putting on a return if being deported etc.

  16. I have family in Burkina Faso and because of the safety problems it's been a long time since I haven't seen them. I kind of feel good to see the airport once again and just for that a huge thanks ❤
However if anyone wants to fly Air Burkina, beware cause you might get any checked bags loaded in the next flight…

  17. Another ignorant filmmaker labeling a country as dangerous without even experiencing some time there. Westerners are very ignorant of Africa, but very clever in stealing its resources and creating war and then portraying the continent as dangerous! Very hypocritical !

  18. If local criminals have been advised of a prominent youtuber coming thru, maybe kidnapping for ransom is on the table. I hope not! I suppose Noel can bang on the doors of two embassies now!

  19. As a kid who grew up in a travel agency family (we owned a small agency that my Mom ran, managed, everything) I got pretty good at using the ancient TWA PARS-II computer system circa 1980 to look up all manner of flights around the world and one of my favorite destinations was ALWAYS Ouagadougou in what was then Upper Volta, both very intriguing names to a kid and of course being in the middle of Africa was always fascinating. I love that your whole trip was pretty easy and yes, all the airport and Air Burkina staff seemed to be so kind and accommodating. It would be great if you could have stayed a couple night and did a bit of a walk around….but that might have been dicey considering Burkina is suppose to be so dangerous. At any rate, good job and way to act as a good sales agent for Burkina Faso travel! Just one last thing, your trip from Tunisia to Jeddah was way worse, bad everything, terrible customer service, terrible Saudi Arabian Airlines and general disorganization on what should have been a much more simple, civilized trip and here you are in Burkina Faso and everything worked as it should with no trouble.

  20. Hi Noel. On your next trip to Africa, please consider flying to Zambia. There is a pretty cool airline called Proflight Zambia. They fly mostly domestic but they also flya to Johannesburg South Africa and have just launched a new service to Cape Town. They fly a fleet of Jetstream 41, CRJ 100/200 and a Boeing 737-500. Zambia also has very cool places you can visit like Livingstone where you can see the Victoria falls. The people are also very friendly and you will definitely feel the love.
