South Africa is not Congo, if a small miners can follow regulation and adhere to safety standards in the mining or understand that hazardous workplace is no no in South Africa, maybe they would get a license or permit to mine. But justifying work in a place that was declared unsafe to work in is not marginalization. Government cannot offer license to work in dangerous place. That why risk assessment and environmental impact studies are done before mining, it is not an ego business. It is a right to work in a safe environment.

Very sad. They can't help criminals while they are taking care of hard-core criminals feeding, medically treating and clothing them in jails. What a reasoning! The opposition parties should come in and show the this criminal apartheid Unity Government. This is inhuman, stupid, criminal and arrogant action from the governent. The current unemployment situation cos these people to illegally participate in this.

The road in Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg, is closed due to illegal mining activities that are causing the ground to sink. The town and surrounding communities are now at risk, yet illegal mining continues unchecked, with little action from the government. The perpetrators, along with those funding the operations, must be held accountable. It's clear that these individuals aren't acting alone, and the government—possibly aware of the true culprits—left this to run for long. This issue persists because high-ranking officials are allegedly involved, exploiting illegal foreigners for their own gain.
