Fisker Owner Rebuttal to MKBHD's Fisker Ocean Review
Fisker Owner Rebuttal to MKBHD's Fisker Ocean Review
Love MKBHG’s work, but his premise of reviewing the Fisker Ocean in its current state is flawed. The Fisker Ocean he reviewed is on dated software that does not reflect current vehicle experience. In the same way that he does not want to review based on future software, he should review based on dated software.

Thank you for this owner’s perspective! I’m hoping you’re right about the continued rate of improvement, because I think it certainly needs it. I do still honestly find it borderline irrresponsible to release a vehicle so I complete that it feels like owners are beta testing, but that’s just my own opinion.
Also fyi I didn’t feel the under seat storage was a perfect match to the R1T because that vehicle doesn’t fill half the center console (‘the new globe box imo) with a tray
Keep up the honest videos!

MKB's YT worst title is a smart way for him to gain huge YT viewers/click bait
Helpful info, well balanced, and most of all, kind. Kindness towards everyone involved, pointing out where things came up short, could be improved.
MKBHG's points seems fairly minor, incompletely described, and bound to be improved, so the overall "worst ever" label seems a bit mean (even harmful), when he could have been encouraging the company to improve quickly. EV OG is so calm, well considered and respectful, I can't imagine this channel being unkind towards any struggling people. Civil tone well appreciated. Subbing.
2 mobile warranty services… warranty services is what kills Fisker.
Fisker was screwed when Tesla dropped their price in Jan 2023 so one could get a Y for 15,000 less than the Ocean One or their top model. When I heard about software being incomplete I did not follow through with my purchase. I forfeited my $5000. If Fisker would of dropped the Ocean One to $60,000 I would of purchased it. I have no quarrels with forfeiting my $5000 deposit because I still save money buying a Y long range. Fisker should of taken another $10000 to $15000 loss on each vehicle to sell every vehicle they were making instead of sticking to their price of $70000 for the top version. Unfortunately they are possibly going bankrupt now. Terrible news.
Dude had a grudge against them. I’ve never ever seen anyone reviewing a car without washing it. He didn’t even park it in a clean area. He praised some stuff just to fool people that he is reviewing the car fairly.
What Fisker needs to do is let MKBHD review the Ocean with update 2.0. I mean they wanted him to wait. Why not contact him now and say this is what we have out there now, please review.
Loved the response! IMO – Releasing a vehicle at that price point with all of those issues, considering the competitive landscape and advancement of technology from when Tesla first joined, I find to be problematic.
More generally, their lack of execution of direct deliveries is likely what will be the downfall here. MKBHD isn’t the problem or have some “ulterior motive” as some commenters are suggesting.
Keep up the videos!
Personally, it doesn't matter what software version mkbhd was reviewing. Obviously, the software was glitchy and outdated and should have been updated ASAP. For him to get his hands on something that Fisker has not sorted out to improve in a reasonable period, is not Marque's fault.
I just watched your video because I wanted to see your rebuttal comments. I, too, wondered why he missed the under-seat storage and didn't really know about the Hollywood mode.He should have reviewed it the Fisker with the latest update. I'm still behind Fisker and hope they pull through, with help from Nissan, or on their own. Keep up the Good work and subscribed as well. Cheers🙂
Great for you as owner loving it. But can you please posting video addressing the points by showing car related videos instead of keeping talking showing your face only. MKBHD making all his comments showing us the car, not only his face. 😂
Sounds like your having the same experience as mark, you just sound a little more understanding and agreeable, and i just want to know what fisker gave this guy to make this rebuttal review as he called it
Fisker seems to beta test the car which owners should know about ahead of time.
Good video
Well, maybe you were brave or ignorant, but you took a bet and gambled on purchasing a vehicle from a company that went bankrupt 10 years ago. Now, it looks like history may repeat itself again. What are your plans to service your vehicle if and when Fisker goes bankrupt again?
7 EVs in the last 11 years?! That’s insane. Insane environmental footprint.
This was a very well done video. Hope you get to 1k subs quickly, and i just subbed.
"dated software that does not reflect the current vehicle experience"
It was sold like that on the market, so what's your deal? It's fair fucking game. Fisker-shill making excuses for an OEM that clearly pushed out software that was not ready. As a dev, this is all too common and people like you who try and defend the shit decisions made by out of touch C-suites harm the industry in general and especially the end-consumer. Shame on you. What a pathetic video, my favorite part was all the defenders in the comments who are clearly owners defending their poor purchase, at least I got a laugh out of this trash
Hi there…love the video…but a glove compartment is very much essential…im in asia…to get across to our neighbouring country, we keep our documents in the car at reach…storage under the seat can be difficult…unless it works like an undertray where u could slide it out while driving to get the documents…if its open up storage..oh god i have to stop aside to get it…
I have an inventory launch edition on hold by a Fisker associate in NJ and was planning on taking advantage of the 1.99% finance promo. However, after reading the Q4 and FY'23 financial results, I'm terrified to pull the trigger. The last thing I want is a $70K vehicle to become a brick if Fisker can't secure a longer term OEM partnership in 2024.
I also wasn't aware of many missing features, such as adaptive cruise, park my car, lane centering, etc. that I would be paying for on the front end. Can you provide any thoughts or words of wisdom to consider?
I think it’s a very good looking car. I’ve never owned an EV but am really wanting the Ram Charger. Unfortunately I enjoy spending my money on new vehicles about as much as getting a root canal while simultaneously receiving a colonoscopy without sedation.
There is no way round it. Fisker should have released a fully Production ready Car to Customers. Updating the Software after purchase just means they did not meet the Objectives, which is Customer Satisfaction.
I agree 100% with you, I think he was being way to hard on it, maybe he was having a bad day or something. I personally think it's an amazing vehicle and when the NACS plug comes installed am seriously considering buying one! Great rebuttal, thanks for sharing.
I believe the hedge funds and short sellers are trying to bury Fisker in order to make money! I'm waiting for Fisker to start production stateside so I can change my Tesla to this nice looking SUV.
