The condition of the pavements is shocking!
Durban WAS the countries tourist and holiday hub – always teaming with people! NOT anymore. Filth, dirt, tomato sellers all over the pavements, hotels probably brothels and so the degradation continues. Yuk.

Really, where ever you walk it looks to me that 99.9% of the people are just busy getting on with their own lives and have no thought of doing anyone any harm. The city is lovely and clean after the rain and the route you walked looks good. Shame there are empty shops and buldings. The hotel is perfect, very well maintained. thanks
