Only realistic thing about the movie was that they left behind the Indian guy and his family to die, who had discovered the whole thing in first place.

I watched this movie in my college days and the impact of Satnam and his family's fate hit me hard then. But rewatching this clip now, as a parent, it just gutted me.
What’s hilarious is in a disaster like this, money may get you on a ship but is worthless once shit hits the fan. Your power and status doesn’t mean shit, you human just like the rest. Sad part the government would fuck over people who helped saved lives to secure themselves. Example is the military. They give their lives for their country, when the get home they are not taken care of

The one dude literally saved everyone more than once. If he doesn't figure sht out, lot more die. If he doesn't call at the end about the other wave, Wave would have hit them sooner and taken those ships and anyone aboard down.
