  1. Nice Match-this Cuba vs P.Rico was, each one ,with their own identity as boxers, very well blend ,of technical intelligente agression, with abondant display of excellent technical skills,in both defense and ofense on the cuban side, and a very tenacious "reactive boxer",in the portorrican "boxing architecture".Nothing pedestrian here under the name of "exciting" as some ppl with primal boxing understanding used to defend sometimes.Quality Boxing, with room to improve off course!

  2. Kevin Brown,as many of the cuban boxers, are the "debunking" means,to all the diletants, who, tends to generalize about cuban boxing and boxers, wich History is wrote, since, two centuries ago. Many so called, specialist and journalist, don't know cuban boxing,so in a very simplistic way, they have the tendency ,to simplify,a versatile and diverse efficient school of boxing, based on,one superficial stereotype.Kevin Bronw and the cuban youngsters, arrived lately .to this "circus",are not pioneers, they just follows in the "blueprints" let by previous cuban boxers-fighters between them.
Kid Chocolate and Kid Gavilan, from one era circa 1940,or Ultimino Ramos and Jose' Legra, later on,without neglecting, the Angel Espinosa Or Mario Kindelan generation.
So please stop from saying the same ignorant statement, about "new cuban style".We cubans knows,it's not the Historical true.

  3. Crazy seeing a guy walk through clean crisp shots right on the chin. Either somebody got a granite chin or somebody is missing pop. But Brown super sharp and will be hard to beat either way.

  4. There is no such thing as a "New Cuban Boxing School". Please stop with that. The only difference is nowadays more Cuban guys are able to escape their country early and transition into pro boxing before they are 50 years old, and thus obviously make better adjustments. These commentators need to watch Cuban boxing from before the amateur system took over the country and be more aware of what they're saying. Go watch Ultiminio Ramos and Mantequilla Nápoles. That is Cuban boxing.
    Congrats to Kevin Brown.
