Smith has been on the radar on many british fans for a while. A stellar amateur career has been followed by a slow rise through the pro ranks and this fight has put him in the window of the big boys of the division. I've been watching smiths progress through the pro ranks and it's been a joy to see. His progress was/is inevitable but he still has a few fights required before taking the division by storm. Very technical, skilled fighter that works patiently for openings. There's Talk of him fighting Haney now which I think might be a bit early…but who knows? Smith will be a world champion though, of that I have no doubt.

Looked like it was the first time that Smith had followed Zepeda back on his retreat after crossing his own feet to get back to orthadox and two steps closer and in range for the body shot…Once Smith is in range there's a slight pause while he works out where the gap is to place that shot with power…

Zepeda shouldnt be fighting right now. He's obviously not well to fight right now…either he broke his hand and it didnt heal correctly or something happened. The zepeda that fought and beat Ivan Baranchyk is no longer there. And he's not even that old, he's only 34…about Canelo's age.
