Celebrities dont care about your health, regardless of color. The government doesnt care either.
The only person who is going to care about your health is YOU.
It made me so PROUD 😢 to see Megan Thee Stallion in Planet Fitness at the beginning of the year!!! THAT'S what we need more of!!! These other rappers need to follow suit! Especially the male ones!
McDonald's colabed with the whole nba dream team
Commenting for the algorithm. This video is incredibly well-made and thoughtful!
I appreciate how thorough you are in covering this topic. There’s so many layers to how fast food in our communities negatively affects us.
We have a McDonald’s right around the corner, across the street from a 24-hour gas station ⛽️ …yes, it’s the ghetto ghetto. I wonder if it’s owned by a Black person 🤔
Anyway, I’m proud to say that in the 10years I’ve been living here, I’ve visited that restaurant less than 10 times. Because I KNOW it means my health no good. But the only reason I ever stopped there was simply because it was right there. That’s how they get us.
These celebrity fast food meals are scam stuff they have been selling to the public for years first celebrity fast food meal I tried was Ariana grande Starbucks drink I don’t know she had a drink with them
They place certain restaurants and stores in specific neighborhood
I already was picking up on what they were putting down. Quite disgusting yet not surprising… I wasn’t buying
WacArnold's 🤣🤣🤣
Im hearing an accent, are you a bajan?🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧
Good to know about this thank you for sharing this information
I've noticed this for sure but what ultimately keeps me away from fast food is the price. After my $18 Grimace meal was just standard menu and that nasty purple shake, no amount of celebrity endorsement can convince me that was money well spent.
I left fast food. Prices went up and the trash quality got worse. Plus one day I had a McDonalds burger and it made my chest feel weird. Gave it up after that. Then I became vegetarian.
I had to click this because i was blind to it and hadn't noticed it, reason it surprised me even if it shouldn't have is i deliver food all day everywhere around me in pretty diverse area and did not notice this. But watching this i realize my foolishness, I've seen all these ads I've seen the huddles of fast food restaurants in poorer areas.
Something interesting and i dont know if it can be backed up by statistics but in middle and middle upper class areas seeing what people order all day, and ignoring the ads and the proliferation of fast food in poorer areas i would almost wonder if most effected are more aware and avoid it because that, because in those areas African Americans usually seem to order healthier then most in my experience. Kind of like how certain propoganda doesnt work on you once you realize its there, but i don't have real statistics i just see and process random orders that pay well enough 🤷
What i do sadly see is a lot of young adults and teens ordering the worst of the worst, and also near or retirement age adults, but middle age everyone seems more careful regardless
When you mentioned the Redlining that blocks Black Franchise owners from operating in a white community, do the same rules apply for a White Fanchise owner in that they cannot operate in the black community? If so, then no problem. If not, then there's something to think about
There are less white people who buy fast food than black people because of access to the food but also nutrition education, but the White Franchise owners turn up a bigger profit
So, these big mega companies like McDonald's want Black Franchisers to work in the black community which has a higher volume of people willing to eat the slop, but the Black Franchisers do not make the same amount of money as White Franchisers because the White Franchisers do not have to spend as much money on insurance but have an audience that is less willing to buy McDonald's slop. I don't really see a problem.
The Black Franchise owners are ruining the health of their community because they can only work in the black community, but these same rules apply for the white community.
Learning Nelly’s real name in this video has me fucked up…his name was Cornell this whole time…
The whole black community prides themselves in "soul food" which is highly caloric and fried, so the companies are just playing to their strength, its not that deep.
i was talking about this with my boyfriend over eating wingstop😂😂😂 but i’m mexican so i was scared i was just being racist Lol 😂 glad to know i’m not the only who noticed this !! awesome video too ❤

I am in such awe of this video! I thought that I was the only African American who was aware of this phenomenon. My friends and relatives consider me eccentric and extreme when I bring up these issues. I myself saw the light about 2 decades ago when my own health was destroyed by years of succumbing to a "normal" diet of sugar, salt, fat and chemicals. Now I see these commercials and our celebrities for what they are. I buy simple, whole, traditional nutritious food and cook for myself. Everyone needs to see this video. Bravo!
Ngl those old commercials got me missing hot girl summer 😭 how was 2021 so long ago
