  1. Whilst I agree with the sentiment of this, it seems arrogant to assume only cheap products are guilty of this. Just because a more 'reputable' retailer might sell you the exact same shit for three times the price doesn't make it any more sustainably or ethically made. People and the environment still suffer but so does your wallet whilst the very people who caused and are still profiting from the cost of living crisis stay unaffected by it.

  2. so funny and TRUE!! expose this crap! fix this!! sad that people just don't care that their clothes are made in sweatshops where there are no human rights. they just don't care. and the clothes are horrible horrible quality anyway.

  3. I love at the end how all four buyers almost immediately admit to their complicity in continuing to support Uyghur oppression so they can have $5 shoes. Of course, America has a force almost as malicious in crushing lives for profit. It's called private equity.

  4. But it was possible to exploit the Chinese for a bowl of rice. Were the products produced to the United States from China of very good quality? The Yanks themselves moved industry to China out of greed. Hats off to China. What right does anyone have to block their development? One wonders who paid SNL for such a low-class sketch.

  5. For real. If you have any other viable options for clothing, do NOT buy from this type of company. The clothes practically come with a negative aura. Wearing them isn't enjoyable.

  6. ok talking about the uyghur muslim peoples forced labor in china without ever directly mentioning them or calling attention to the problem of ethnic cleansing!

  7. Reminder that 97% of clothing sold in the USA is made in other countries, most likely in sweat shops. So you might think you're being so good and ethical because you don't buy from Shein and Temu, but it's basically impossible to avoid buying from companies that are unethical. Even thrift stores do some shady shit! It sucks. Be conscious but not classist.
