Harris lost Trump won simply because of racial preference. Blacks were unwilling to put into office a mixed race half Indian candidate. Trump’s incisiveness of the fact was his repeating her Indian name and adding that he did not know she was black. That worked. Obviously ! As for the Hispanic vote… same reason.

1. The Democrats lost because they did not get specific.
a. It is extremely difficult to rescue the economy when one party controlling one chamber of Congress is actively attacking anything he tries to do to improve things. Worse, they risked destroying the economy time and again because of their bickering over debt ceilings and interim budget extensions.
b. Donald Trump was all tariffs. His first term tariffs on China prompted a ban on US exports of soybean and pork products to China. This hit areas which were pro-Trump, so he bought them off with payments of $25 Billion PER YEAR.
c. In his tax cut, Donnie Bonespurs killed the SALT (State and Local Tax) Deduction, a move which hit a lot of middle income taxpayers squarely in the pocket.
2. They should have watched The American President, particularly the final press conference speech. in which the President calls out his opponent for not caring about people's concerns beyond increasing their fears and telling them who to blame.
Donnie and the Republicans almost never have proposals which actually address the problems.

I think inflation , supply chain, and the cost of groceries was one of the major issues not discussed. The other major issue was the US relationship with Israel and allowing them to bomb innocent Palestinians in their effort to defeat Hamas. They needed to address those major issues as well
