  1. I deeply hope Fisker can save themselves somehow, and fix whatever atrocious management they have. These cars are so cool, and the Pear was so promising. It has been extremely tempting to buy one, ESPECIALLY with the recent price cuts, but I can't risk all of that money on a car that may very well have no warranty next week and lose all it's value overnight lmao

  2. Hay Adam I have a sport and received 2.0 over the air it helps but could you tell me how you received more up grades . Should have keep my fifteen year old car now this is my only car in california.

  3. While I love your deep dive into Marques 2.0 review that contains mostly true facts, I disagree about the perfection demand he insinnuated in that video.
I don't say that just for hating on Marques, as I actually like most of his reviews as well, but because I have been fiddling with cars of all kinds for centuries now.

There had been an unwritten rule as a journalist to not review a car you can't at least relate a little to. If I would review a 2 seated Alfa spider, or a Bugatti Veyron, they would be shown as absoultely horrible cars no one should buy. Why? Ridiculous fragile to operate (over speed bumps, on snow, for transporting a washing maschine, a 2 year old child,…) vastly overpriced for what they offer, no interior comfort, from companies that could end their operation soon,… I know, that rule to review cars in an at least polite way has been broken for electric cars for years now, as bashing them had become the new Norm for reviews, even for established motor journalists. The first Model S reviews from the german motor journalist Bloch around 2014 were a disgrace. He has mostly flipped sides now, and I respect that somewhat, but lets be real – the EV wave is coming, if not from europe, it will come from china.

The Austrian Pinzgauer off road car would be horrible for most review people of todays mindset , but they were made under certain circumstances, from a little company focused on mechanical engineering (the same one building the Fisker Ocean nowadays by the way…) and anihilated other offroad cars of the same size and road worthiness for centuries. We have a 6 Wheel closed version (beside a 4 wheel version and other offraod cars) , that we took for a skiing vacation in Gastein 20 years ago. It was warm and comfortable, with a full fledged working desk I used for CAD drawing while travelling the 500 km from our home. On site we daily just chose a huge snow pile, drove it up there and got out a few meters from the ski elevator entrance. If I get in teh Pinzgauer, it drives special in a good way, even 50 years after production. At work I drive a 2016 Renault Traffic, a sporty and overall great car, most passenger Ice cars are slow ducks in comparison. If I would get a similar driving electric version I would love it as well. Every car has been a compromise, there can and will never be the car that fits perfect for all car buyers. I respect Tesla for revolutionising production methods and pricing of Super sports cars (thats what they would have called them 20 years ago), but these don't fullfill my basic needs for pricing, transport capacity, interior style and size. But I can see why millions of people love them despite their flaws I can see.

The Fisker Ocean seems to be a solid, perfectly usable car with little flaws. But such flaws are not reserved for EVs of startup companies. I remember Mercedes A class cars frequently stopping their engine in the middle of the highway for no reason. You had to lock and unlock the doors to drive again. The Mercedes dealership found no problems in multiple inspections in the two year old car. After four years and 240.000 km the front suspension broke while driving (the first hand owner had told the dealership about noises coming from there, but inspecting the car they told the owner to use it anyways, because their customer lendable car was not available. There are crappy unusable cars, but the Fisker Ocean does not deserve to be put in that category fromthe reviews I have seen so far.

  4. I had a solar panel in my Audi A8 from 2007.. it's used to power the fans and keep the car cool when it's parked.

The energy you are getting is miserable.

  5. Austin Evan’s just made a video essentially testing if they are a “scam.” With their reach… their opinions can ruin people. I think they are trying. Not to say that they’d make it without their involvement but I’m about to try and buy the car at a substantial discount if possible.

It’s the only reason I haven’t bought one yet. Money.

  6. “BEEPS AND BOPS ARE REDUCED”

reading that had me cry out laughing. the same sentence could also apply to me gradually figuring out how to make listenable music with my modular synthesizer

  7. I feel like you and MK are way too negative. I agree there are some issues with the car some issues, and yes some are annoying. But as a car it is amazing. The quality of the interior is superb, the car drives like a dream and feels nimble. The beeping from the Fipilot can be turned off but that is not a Fisker spesific issue. I came from a MB EQC and switched to a ocean one and I personally love it. I think with the next software update moste off the critical issues will be gone and the car will be woth the MSRP. Why Fisker gets all this hate is beyond me, it is not like it is the only car with some big issues. I like to compare Fisker with Tesla, and the fisker as a car blows Tesla out of the water, and teslas are no strangers to software and quality issues.

I leave this comment not to bash on Adam or Marques, they have the right to their own opinion, but I disagree with them on many points. My car functions great as a daily driver and a long trip runner. I recently drove over 1500km in one go without issues what so ever, and it is my daily to and from work and the kindergarden. If they go lights out I will run this car untill it dies and keep it alive as long as I can, no doubt.

  8. 7:05 – 300 mls are 482 km assuming a 20 kWh / hkm consumption you would need roughly 100 kWh of solar production.
That would mean compared to a fixed installation on the roof with 35° angle facing south would need 100 Wp to generate it.

100 Wp , what a shame considering that a real 1 x 1,70 panel is usually about 450 Wp, here 400 Wp are sold for half of the price for being outdated.

They should have gotten lot more out of the roof which means that there should be enough space to achieve that.

At the end Fisker is another example cause the first was SION which went bankrupt before production last year, which was a german startup in Munich always being behind targets and funded by the crowd. 25000€ was their price goal and they had delays and delays and went for another begging round. 25000€ is incl. 19% vat, so right now roughly 24000$ net price, but they never produced a produciton car nor delivered one, but some of crowd funders had paid the full price and were promised to get their money back, which then did not happen.

At least you have gotten a car , far better than the SION backers who got nothing out of their car purchase or should I say car bet ?
That car gained or claimed to gain 35 km max. range – on 3 days a year in munich or more south but had solar panel hood, roof and also on the sides and doors, a much bigger area for solar panels, but still not the most impressive figure – at least if you consider all the implications and high production costs to get a hood shaped solar panel. But they do own a lot of patents or rather had owned the patents.

  9. Fisker squeeze start on 3.4 nameday isidor it means god of isis … 17.4 ghe top nameday isadora it means gift from god isis … Same game was last year with leoni …

Every time on Johannes nameday plug power get the top it is sell day. … On 20.6 is nameday afelbert it means noble bear … 4 days later ist Johannes nameday again meybe the squeeze is in this time i am not sure … Adelbero nameday was in 6.10 last year and ursula 21.10 … Both mean bear

  10. The thing is, software can be updated regularly, but a shitty built car will be worse for you.
Fisker just needs time, they are only two years in the market and already have delivered EVs.

The market for EVs is also severely down, so it's something to consider.

  11. Unfortunately MKB and others cycle through an algorithm that eventually requires they land a sensationally NEGATIVE for clicks review and it SHOULD BE about TESLA’s stupid single point of failure design choices on MANY features: door handles, removing buttons, ac vents, ROAD NOISE way too high for a car that should be THE QUIETEST, all controls require take eyes off road, Teslas are THE WORST car reviewed

  12. Car had already been in public hands for 7 months. He can review it however he likes using his experience. None of what you tried to counter was seriously relevant to the point of the review. It was trash and only changed because of the backlash. Negative feedback is literally the purpose of positive change.

  13. My 2011 Toyota unlocks when I walk up to it everytime and always pairs my phone to its Bluetooth sound system. That these things don't work in a vehicle released in 2023/24 is beyond my comprehension

  14. I understood him to be saying that pre 2.0 cars needed a tech visit to be updated to 2.0. Is that no longer true? Your car came with 2.0 and still had to be updated by a tech and then after the first update could be updated OTA. He said that once updated it could then OTA updates. You even quote him as saying it can more be plugged in while getting an OTA update.

  15. I am in love with their designs. Sadly the company is very poorly run. Let’s hope a grown up company buys them and fixes the issues.

  16. Mkbhd is extremely annoying in his downrate videos. He really isn't the person to watch if you're buying a vehicle. Hes a massive Tesla fan ou on top of that.

  17. I am glad you are honest in your videos about what you think about the car. But watching your latest YouTube video today, and in the last few days, I am reminded of a whiner. A kid for whom life did not go his way, and therefore has to always complain, telling everyone how the world wronged him. I am sorry, I am a stockholder and truly did believe in the company's potential. And your latest videos trying to trash the company without giving them time to correct the issues you have had with your car since your purchase is getting quite irritating and it is quite disrespectful to the company and to us shareholders.

I get it, I am down more than the value of your car, while you temporarily cannot sell your two month old car at a profit. But you bought the car believing you got a great deal on the Ocean Sport. For what is available in the EV space, your Ocean Sport is a great deal, although the software could be better, and hopefully will be in the near future. Maybe the company will go down, but please do not assist in bringing down the company. You are a great reviewer and very thoughtful in putting together your videos, but SOMETIMES, you just go too far.

You are a shrill, a whiner, and now a threat to those stockholders of Fisker trying to force it into bankruptcy. Review, and report, but tone down the need to bring the company down.
