Face The Nation | SADC troops withdrawal in DRC/ Holomisa on SANDF/ Khakhau on Vat hike

Professor Kula Theletsane, Director of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Affairs, says SADC’s withdrawal of troops does not mean it is withdrawing completely from the DRC but will continue to assist the DRC in diplomatic relations. Theletsane says this does not translate to failure.

  1. they are doing the same thing in DRC with western cape, that's the narrative, they came into Congo as refugees now they are claiming land in areas where they have never been, we have 440 tribes in Congo

  2. Why did Anc involve da in their coalition knowing very well what the da stands for? The hate and jelousy amongst us blacks that has been inculcated by whites is the cause of the division we find our selves in.

  3. For the first time I agree with DA.in order to increase tax they must decrease their salaries all parliamentarians.we are suffering already,we don't even afford houses they already want to increase tax.they must close the holes of corruption n better the lives of south Africans.

  4. The ANC must remember one thing, the people of South Africa voted to remove them from government. They still succeed on winning the ruling seat in the GNU. What we are observing is arrogant resistance to co operative governance and the same old brainwashing rhetoric to the same electorate they have failed for 3 decades. In essence if the DA represents 20% of the population and other parties represent the rest , it means 60 % of the population do not agree with the ANC 's failed policies. When they make these unilateral decisions they should be thinking about the 25% that have deserted their party to join or form other parties. The ANC does not like to play second fiddle to any other party. They do not want to accept that their failure to govern brought them to where 60% of the population are sick an tired of their ineptitude and corruption. Instead if listening to the representatives of the people in parliament they still continue to think they can dictate as they wish. They must also remember that South Africans are still waiting for the implementation of the recommendations contained in the Zondo Commission Report. These other unrelated issues like the Afriforum , Land Act and Bela Act should not be used as a smokescreen. South Africans are not stupid and do resent being treated as such. Each problem should be addressed separately and casting aspersions at the DA on the above issues is not going to work with the ordinary struggling South African. They should review and reverse some if the policies that have resulted in static economic growth and they know what these policies are but as usual crumbs are enough for the people. The Vat thing is not going to work but bring about protests. There is not one cent more available from South Africans to pay for galloping costs of everything. As it is in Durban we are paying almost R3.00 per , (and the billing is very erratic.) R20.00 for bread. Enough now.

  5. There’s lots of corruption among our politicians in Africa. Why to have big organizations as Sadac, specially to see a small country as Rwanda to push out a big organization with 15 countries as members. It’s total failure and Rwanda controls Tanzanian secretary of SADAC.

  6. If DA has got nothing to do with the P,OOR why did DA Led Ministry REDUCE FOOD PRICES once they got into Government Mr Minister of Finance, ANC SG and Ms Lady

Stop humiliating and shaming us Black People by continously defending your ill behaviour on majotity of South Africans not just BOERS with lies💙❤💙🙏
    Examples:
Raw Sewerage running amock in streets entering residenticial premises destroying crops and furnitures in the living rooms.

Black students lives taken away by flooded rivers during every rainy season in remote rural villages.

Black students falling and dying in delapilated pit toilets😱😰

Black People having to carry heavy caskets and cofins containing corpses on their heads while crossing flooded rivers to bury their LOVED ONES

Black People forced to cross rivers in closed drums on daily basis for years. Suffocation😱

Democratic ideologies keep on oppresing black people through out AFRICA people get killed like insects.

  7. Why do we get lied to over and over again by politicians? BEE is a requirement for points if you are black who previously was not allowed to do business and nothing else. I know this because I run a company and every time we feel up documents we are asked the question.

  8. The DA has never,, is not and will never do anything for the poor that's nonsense…this has nothing to do with the poor but their own agenda let's get that straight.

  9. If DRC soldiers have joined M23, there is therefore no need for a external peace mission,. The conflict has reached a stage where military intervention has to give way to diplomacy.
Negotiation between fighting forces is of paramount importance currently. However both sides need to be willing participants in the negotiation process.

  10. It's not SADC, It's South Africa aided by Malawi and Tanzania. Please be factual. Specifically, it is an agenda of few individuals, namely Ramaphosa, Felix, Everiste, Kikwete, and others to overthrow the rwandan gvt. Their plan has backfired! Malawi had no idea what they were getting into and that's why they have already withdrawn.

  11. It is deeply concerning that the Director would present such misleading statements to the world. The reality is that SADC actively fought alongside FDLR (1994 genocidaires), DRC forces, Burundian forces, and European mercenaries, resulting in the mass killing of innocent civilians. Given these grave actions, SADC must be held accountable for war crimes and bear responsibility for compensating the victims.

  12. The DA and all those in the GNU agreed on the R10 increase for senior citizens. Shame on you. A government that could not look after their senior citizens don't deserve to be in government
