  1. The road was divided into two at some point so that they will not destroy those buildings. Government was so magnanimous to accommodate people's investments. It was unfortunate that Landmark didn't fall among those that could be saved. Thank you Tiggres for doing this. I used to live in Lagos in 1990 latter Abuja and now in America. Watching this has brought a lot of nostalgic feelings.

  2. It is mind boggling in this day and age to see large luxury houses and condominium developments being built around appalling road and environmental infrastructure. Have they not got competent local authority urban planning officers in place to have allowed such crass state of affairs to take place? Or is corruption responsible for such urban planning ineptitude? I won't buy ANY of those properties due to the poor road and environmental infrastructure. No way!

  3. Thank you African Tigress all the way from Kenya , i am seeing the doggedness of the Tigress in you through this exclusive on the ongoing Lagos -Calabar Coastal highway progress. It has been a great revelation like no other to date Amazing content and great collaboration with the "Tiger" Ludo Liu. I enjoyed every bit of it ."

I share your view that The Ocean is God given and should be free view for all but it appears everyone appears to be taking whatever they can grab privatizing and monetizing it thus taking the leisure and pleasure out of going to the beach from the common man. Every beach i have been to elsewhere outside Nigeria has been free to access. i hope the powers that be work on this .

Overall its going to be an amazing sight and panorama by the time work finishes on this highway besides the economic value and ease of life to the people of Nigeria.

  4. Nigerian government love to do things that no one asked for.. they are building this coastal road but you see bad roads in that actual city (just like in video).. smh.. that money and resources that went to this costal road could hav been used to fix existing roads first.. This coastal road was thought of so those politicians can make money off the kickbacks if anyone was curious.. nothing else

  5. This is insane! People with connection just appropriate beach fronts and make money. Lagos is the only place the public can't enjoy the beach freely. Up till the 90s Bar Beach used to be free with families enjoying their public holidays there. Today, the sharks have taken over, milking the people. It is a big shame. About time this stops.

  6. There must be something that can be used to reduce the sound of the wind while riding on the motorcycle. It is distracting. I'm not a hater; just trying to provide constructive feedback on an otherwise very good video.

  7. Sounds like Gentrification Nigerian style,, , Obinyo one of the residences of the area,, Looks beautiful but can the average Nigerian afford to live in the gorgeous Beach front Residence

  8. Wow what a huge transformation for Lagos ๐Ÿ˜Š it's a huge project indeed..African tigress can you be my guide when I visit the country next time..I haven't been there..am in Botswana..

  9. Lagos -Calabar highway is a misplaced priority. Why not develop the railways and dredge the rivers for more employment and easy movement and accessibility.
I hear them talking about Lagos-Sokoto highway, another stupid thinking and wasteful adventure.
