It doesnāt matter who you are or what you have done. God loves you. His love for you is real and He will love you forever. Genuinely search your heart: āif you were to die right now, where would you spend eternity? HEAVEN or HELL?ā
We must realize NO ONE is perfect; we are ALL sinners
The Bible says in Romans 3:23 āFor all have sinned , and come short of the glory of Godā. This means that we have all āmissed the mark.ā We may consider ourselves ā pretty good ā compared to someone else, but each of us had done bad things in our lives. God is holy; He cannot allow SIN into Heaven. Therefore, our sin separates us from God.
WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS A PENALTY FOR OUR SIN
Romans 6:23 says āFor the wages of sin is deathā¦ā Because we have done wrong in our lives, we deserve to be punished. Death is that punishment. According to Revelation 21:8, ādeathā here refers to spending eternity in hell: ā…the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.ā Just like a criminal must pay for his or her crime, a sinner must also pay the debt for his sin.
RECOGNIZE THAT JESUS PAID THE DEBT
Even though we deserve to die and go to hell for the bad things we have done, God loved us so much that he willingly sent Jesus to earth to take our place. John 3:16 clearly conveys the message of Godās love, āFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.ā Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, Godās only begotten son, which means that he had Godās sinless blood flowing through His veins. He lived a perfect, sinless life and then died on the cross and shed that sinless blood as the payment for our sins. The innocent Son of God died for the guilty!
BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY
Romans 6:23b says, āā¦ The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.ā A gift cannot be paid for or purchased, because someone else already bought it! Jesus bought our salvation when He died on the cross, was buried , and rose again. Eternal life canāt be bought by being good, getting baptized, or going to church. Jesus said in John 14:6 , āI am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.ā The ONLY way to receive eternal life is by believing in Jesus Christ alone and what He did on the cross and receiving Him as your personal savior.
TRUST IN CHRIST & ACCEPT HIS GIFT OF SALVATION
In Romans 10:13, God gives us the precious promises, āFor whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.ā His arms are open wide and love. He is waiting for you to come to Him by faith and accept him as your Savior ! God wants you to be with him in heaven. He has paid for salvation and offers it freely to you right now. You have a choice to make in your heart: to receive what he has lovingly done for you or reject it. According to the Bible, if you were to receive Jesus as your Savior, where will you go when you die someday? The exciting answer is Heaven! But, if you were to reject Jesus and never accept what He did on the cross of Calvary, where would you spend eternity? The sobering answer as Hell. God loves you. He wants you to be with Him. What will you choose to do? Why not call upon the Lord now and receive His gift of salvation? Pray something like this from your heart:
ā Dear Lord Jesus, I know Iām a sinner, and I deserve to pay the penalty for my own sins. But I donāt want to go to hell when I die; I want to be with You in heaven. I believe you died on the cross and rose again for me. Please forgive my sins and come to my heart. I accept Your gift of salvation. I believe in You and trust You alone as my Savior to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you, God, for your love. Amen.ā
The Bible plainly teaches that you can never lose your salvation. You will always be saved! Ephesians 1:13 describes it as being āsealed.ā If you just accepted Christ in your heart, your name was written down in heavenāsā Book of Life,ā and nothing can or ever will erase it!
It's a beautiful era in life, especially once we come away from big works that were within this world. A good relief, a retirement, where we can move on with other things In life.
Especially with moving away from these old selves,
Pray that these people may move into this new era of life, the born again Life, that which through Christ promises us salvation in Him.
